From the outside, seemed like your typical medium-sized town movie theater.
We walked in, one person in our party ordered a ticket online, the other ordered at the ticket counter. We got our concessions, then we walked past the unmanned ticket checker podium and went to take our seats. Lone behold, we walked into the theater and every single seat was taken.
So, we went back to the ticket counter and told them about the issue. After all, they shouldn't be selling more tickets if the theater is at capacity. Either that, or they should actually have somebody manning the ticket checker's podium, so people can't bounce from theater to theater or just walk in and take a seat for free.
Either way, the lady refunded our tickets with a mild apology. They didn't even bother to refund the concessions for our troubles, so we would have effectively driven half an hour to purchase overpriced soda and popcorn.
After we checked the screen for upcoming movies playing, we decided to see a different movie, since we were already there and had already paid for concessions. The lady charged the new tickets, then we went into the new theater.
The theater we went into was mostly clean. There were some obvious bits of popcorn on the floor and on some of the chairs. It would have been nice to see a little more effort to clean each theater between films.
The seats were fairly comfortable. Sound was quite excellent, which is certainly a bonus. The picture was good, but it seemed like the projector screen could have certainly used a good cleaning, as there were a few lines.
Overall, this was a fairly decent theater experience, especially for the price. However, the employees and management need to work on their work ethic and logistical skills to ensure problems don't come up as...
Read moreThis was my aunt and cousinâs experience word for word, but I had to share.
âI had the rudest experience yesterday at this theatre. I took my daughter and her friends (7 total) to see The Lion King for her 11th Birthday. Bought our tickets online and went and ordered snacks for everyone. We paid with cash for some of it but had a balance due of $24.75 and paid with my card. After the card didnât go through I was told âoh ya our card reader is downâ I replied âisnt that something you should tell people before ordering?â He agreed but I was then told by the manager (Michael Romero) that all of my girls had to now return their food which they had already started eating he said if we donât like it he will just refund our tickets too and we can leave. (We spent close to $100 on movie tickets plus another $45 on food). The girls started crying and were very upset, my daughter said her birthday was ruined. I offered to go get cash after the movie or wait and see if their card reader started working at some point and I could pay when it did and he would not reason with anything other than them giving everything back so he could throw it away. I told him he has no heart to ruin her birthday and he agreed he was cold hearted âsorryâ call corporate if you donât like it. I asked him for Corporates number and he refused to give it to me and said I can find it myself on line. I went and asked the guy at the ticket window for the corporate number and he offered to keep my ID and I could go get cash after the movie (we already missed 20 minutes of the movie at this point). After the movie the card readers were working, we happily paid and all was well. The âmanagerâ was still extremely rude didnt speak to us and no kind...
Read moreAlthough the movie was great, and my children love being able to attend âfree movie Tuesdaysâ in the Summer, today we had some unfair costumer service. Upon entry I was told my bag needed to be kept behind the counter in which I was forced to carry my classroom first aid kit, file of emergency contacts list, and several childrenâs water bottles in hand to the theater. I was not allowed to take the 6 mini snack bags of popcorn (from school) into the theater for my students to snack on while watching the free movie. My children were not bothered when I told them they would have to wait till we got back to school to have that snack (They are all super well behaved amazing angels). My only issue with how today went was that while sitting in the theater several other movie-goers were pulling out their home snacks and candy from their totes and diaper bags. I feel as though this movie theater should have a better system in place when enforcing âno outside foodâ and ânot letting a teacher carry her bag into the theater with vital student...
