Unpleasant and unprofessional Manager!! I recently had a highly frustrating and disappointing experience at the Staples location in East Windsor. As a customer who values time, energy, and efficient service, my encounter at this store was nothing short of a letdown.
My initial reason for visiting this particular Staples was the unavailability of extra-large poly mailers at the store near my house. Given the inconvenience, I decided to make the 25-minute trip to the East Windsor location. Before making the drive, I called the store and politely asked a representative to check if they had the specific poly mailers in stock, explaining that I had just left another Staples store without finding them.
To my dismay, the representative insisted that "well you have to come to the store in person and check for yourself"! citing a shortage of staff. Despite my explanation of the distance and the fact that I had already encountered disappointment at two other stores, the representative was unhelpful and unwilling to assist further.
Upon arriving at the store, I discovered it was nearly empty, with no visible customers and the cashier seemingly at ease. To my surprise, I encountered not one but two associates, contradicting the initial claim of being short-staffed. The second associate, whom I later identified as the manager, displayed a dismissive attitude and lacked professionalism.
I approached the manager and explained the situation, highlighting the inconsistency in the staff shortage claim. The manager offered no apology and instead defended the previous response, stating that the lone associate couldn't leave the cashier unattended. I pointed out the manager's ability to assist or supervise while the other associate checked for the product. However, the manager remained uncooperative and unapologetic.
In addition to the lack of professionalism, the manager's demeanor was unpleasant, and I have no clue how she was hired as a manager. As someone with managerial experience in large corporations and logistics companies, I found her attitude appalling. Despite expressing my frustration and disappointment, the manager not only refused to acknowledge the poor customer service but also displayed arrogance in her unwillingness to assist.
Ultimately, I was forced to purchase an unnecessary giant box, doubling my shipping charges, all because of the store's incompetence and the manager's refusal to address the issue. This experience has left me with a strong sense of dissatisfaction, and I can confidently say that I will not be patronizing this Staples...

I waited on line and as soon as I get to the top of the line one of the reps asked me to go to the shipping area to be rung in. I kindly walked off the line and went to the shipping area in which took me about 1/2 minute. In the meantime I can hear next customer(from the reps that were cashing in) the whole time I'm walking to the shipping area. I made it to the shipping area and I informed the cashier of me needing two different transactions. The cashier said " we're not doing two transactions". I asked her why!!! She said her manager said so. I said I'm going to contact customer service right now because you're refusing to ring in my other item. I need to purchase 1 item in which wasn't on sale on my business card account. She immediately said she'll contact her manager, mind you I was in the front of the line in which what appeared to be the same person that sent me to the shipping area. I am a professional musician who has had numerous copy jobs done in the last 5 years in this store, of which they have messed up several times! Today 8/27/25 was the last straw! On Sat 8/23 I presented Fabian at the copy center a packet with 27 sheets of lyrics in chronological order and a Merged PDF File to be made into 50 sets of Lyric Packets. All he had to do was take the merged file as has been done in the past and put it thru the printer! What did he do?? He made 50 copies of each lyric sheet and piled them in a box forcing me to spend the time I don't have putting everything together! I paid over 100.00 for the pleasure of being aggravated and annoyed!
My advice to you, STAY CLEAR OF THIS STORE AND DO YOUR SHOPPING...
