We toured a 1 bedroom on December 18th, 2022. TLDR: The management and leasing office really don’t seem to know much about the property which is a shame because the apartment wasn’t bad for the price. We decided not to apply purely on the lack of knowledge from the leasing office. More below if you’re interested.
Pros: -Spacious apartment, hardwood floors, central air, balcony, ample parking, safe(?) area -Rent is fair for the area
Cons: -Parsonage does not have a leasing office. The office is actually at evergreen meadows. It’s a short drive between the complexes. Normally that wouldn’t be a problem except…. -I get the impression that leasing office knows basically nothing about Parsonage or at least they don’t want to tell. I’m pretty sure they have never even seen the buildings themselves. -After we toured the apartment (we were fairly happy with it) we just wanted to see the laundry room before applying. The unit we saw was 501 in building 11. We couldn’t find a laundry room anywhere inside or outside the building. We called the leasing office, they said their should be one at every building. We look more, nothing. We pull up a map from the GC website. There’s only 1 laundry per 4 blocks of apartments. It’s in building 10 according to the map. We walk around 10, can’t find it. We can’t get into 10 because we weren’t given keys for it. We call again. They advise TO ASK A RESIDENT WHERE THE LAUNDRY IS??? We drive back to leasing office. After some back and forth it’s very clear they have no idea where the laundry rooms even are on the property they are supposed to managed. They keep trying to show the laundry at Evergreen, but that’s not where we would be living. We call a different leasing manager, she tells us we can’t see the laundry until we sign the lease (very suspicious). -We ask about the fire that happened here before (see other reviews). They tell us they don’t know. Most of the questions we ask the answer is I don’t know. -The kitchen is not remodeled like shown in the 3D tour on the website. Its like the kitchen picture they posted from 7 years ago. Not a deal breaker but again, lack of transparency. -There is a language barrier. I believe most of the leasing staff speak Spanish. Which is fine but I think being able to communicate with potential renters is important.
Overall, it’s not just about the laundry room. I’m worried that management will not be responsive at all if a problem occurs (bad neighbors, weather, utilities, maintenance, etc.) because honestly it feels like they just don’t really manage Parsonage. If you choose to rent I would be cautious. Ask a lot of questions and really understand what you’re getting.
I hope the leasing office/ management improves their training because the apartment itself...

All my neighbors and I have the same issues. Cockroaches-High Noise level-and terrible Maintanance service!
Do you know why they dont show you the actual apartments before you move in? I am explaining it below.
Once I moved in the apartment I was told the dishwasher is brand new. But it was obviously not. Also however the maintanance service never pay attention my statements. A dozens of cockroaches were coming out from diswashwer. Also it has never worked well. It leaves detergent stain on the dishes. When I said that I was told its not a stain it is steam. Ok I am a person who doesnt know the difference between the steam and stain! When I call for service maintanence guys always want to come in without shoe covers. They dont care to step in with dirty shoes.
Some of the supers are not even English speaker. I have to communicate them by drawing. Also they are not nice to you. If the closet cloged they just blame you to put toilet papers in the closet. Of course we dont put paper in it. Since it is poor quality it is getting cloged periodically and they know it very well.
Also they never could find a solution for the isolation. Since the windows are very old and not in good shape during the winter the bedroom is so cold. The only thing they do is taping the entire windows. But we still have the same cold in the bedroom and plus the windows look so ugly with the seal tape! They dont actually fix anything.
I have tried many things to get rid of cockroaches in the kitchen. The pest control comes once in 2 weeks. And before they get in the home I have to remove all the kitchen equipment out of the cabinets. It takes couple of hours to take them out and put them back. A lot of hassle! Since we have a baby at home we keep every where clean. As a precaution I put boric acid on the corners I have electronic repellent control. None of them works. Because the cockroaches come from the sewer drain.
15 days ago I made a maintanence request in person and this 15 days I had to call and follow up with the office in every 3 days to see if they are sending a super or not. And every single time I called them I explained the same issue and I was told they are sending a super to me. After 15 days I called them the 6th time and said if you wanna send a person to take care of the issues today please send somebody otherwise cancel my request. Guess what? No one show up!
I had a complain about the issues. I was told to write a letter and once management review it they will get back to me. Guess what? They have never returned me.
There are some other issues such as strangers hanging around the railway and parking lot and smoke weed in the night times and train...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst apartment maintenance I have ever encountered. I have lived in apartments for 25 years. I have NEVER encountered anything like this. We have asked for a replacement vent cover for a year. Yes, you read it right, a year. We never got it last year, so this year we requested it again. A maintenance worker came out several weeks ago with a new filter but without the vent cover. We are guessing that he did not realize that we spoke Spanish, because when he called into the Super about the cover-we heard him ask about it in Spanish-and heard a response of "No" on the other end. Though interestingly he told us he would be back with a cover. Weeks passed, no cover. Promised they would come on this day, then that day. Finally, they came one day (not the day I was told they were coming) with the WRONG cover. Promised they would return with the correct cover in 15 minutes. Though they said they weren't sure that they even had the correct cover. I told them to not come back immediately as I was getting ready for work, shower etc. WARNING, if you do not have traditional 9-5 work hour job, you may be getting ready for work, in the shower etc. and not hear them knocking. Paying rent means you pay for privacy. Privacy is a right. NO ONE should have to wonder when someone is going to enter their dwelling. Giving a time frame to someone who is paying rent is courtesy, plain and simple. It is NOT okay to string someone along making them wonder every day if this might be the day that maintenance makes an appearance. That is not how they see it. I was promised by one person that they would deliver on one day, then called the office again after yet another nonappearance, the office was surprised it hadn't been done. Then promised by a different person that it would be done on another day, several calls, again, they said they were surprised that maintenance had not come. I was even told that maintenance said that they had come 5 times, prior to the visit with the wrong cover. Really? That does not hold up, if that had been the case we would have come home to a new cover, but actually no, because when they finally came, they brought the wrong cover remember? Sigh. The latest, "they will come after Monday, we can't give you a time". Note: I do not blame the poor people in the office who are answering the phone, as it sounds like maintenance is putting them in a tough spot. Improving maintenance will likely improve the 2 1/2 star google rating they currently have and quite possibly make the office staff's job a lot more pleasant. This place certainly has merits, and if maintenance improves, I will post a new review outlining those merits. But for now, still wondering-will...
