While it's not the most state of the art facility it's well kept and the staff has been nothing but exceptional. As a frequent customer one particular staff member has always gone above and beyond for myself and my guests. Katie has always greeted us with a smile and has even assisted in helping us carry our mounds of popcorn and gigantic sodas. It seems we always attend when she's working and she's always hustling, cleaning theaters and doing whatever it takes to make our visit as pleasant and easy for us. I single her out for a reason, I do not know her personally but only through the theater and I believe that people that do an exceptional job deserve recognition where it's applicable. Today we saw the"bfg" and she was totally accommodating and loaded up a tray so I could single handedly carry what we needed, went out of her way to grab us condiments as my friends cannot carry things. Thanks to all the staff and Katie for making my job easier by doing such a great...
Read moreOk, I get that movie theaters make their money on concessions, but sometimes they really do gouge you. I mean, when the popcorn alone is what you might pay for a meal, and that's something you can get at hardware stores for free? It's a bit much, and I was a little sad to find that the "candy" in the kid's box was just fruit snacks. Most movie theaters let the kids pick from the cheapest candy. Also, the ticket booth was closed, slowing down the whole process, especially when the girl we got at the concessions almost made it a point to move at a snails pace. Hate to complain so much, but there it is. The seats weren't the worst but do get uncomfortable during an entire movie, and we found that some of the seats are worse than others. All in all, it could have been...
Read moreIt looks a little dilapidated from outside, as only part of the moniker sign is lit (I believe the second syllable of the theatre's name is illuminated), but it's really nice inside, with nice carpet and chairs sporting larger cupholders and flat armrests to place popcorn and candies on effectively.
The staff is nice, full of smiles, and the interior is well maintained, with larger multistall bathrooms to accommodate an entire movies audience for those post movie traffic jams in the restrooms.
The staff is very friendly too.
tallship would have awarded 5 sailboats but this theatre only accepts credit cards, so apparently they haven't heard that cash is King.
So for an experience with well marked lanes in their dark and cozy theatre halls, yet not accepting cash, tallship awards this venue:
