Planet Fitness — Attraction in Fairbanks

For the price, can't beat it. I compared. I go most days between 1 - 4p. Seldom have to wait for a machine, if I do, it's not long. I agree with another post that the 30mt circuit area isn't monitored. People do often just plop down on a machine casually & seem oblivious that they're interrupting someone's training. Sometimes they'll even sit on a machine just to use their phone. I don't mind working around those who are trying. Many just don't seem to care. Maybe they can't read the sign? Whatever the case, PF staff have not held up to the posted monitoring claim. Hopefully they do a better job during the busy hours. Staff have been friendly to me. I've never witnessed one of them walking around with, or even looking at their phone as stated in other post. They're young. Again, for the price, it can't be beat, especially when tanning is included! If there were more amenities, I would have given at least...

AWFUL. Do not bother with Fairbanks Planet Fitness. Terrible customer service. Day one after signing up: I get picture taken. Go workout on cardio machines, everything is fine. Sweating and tired, I go to get a drink of water. Fountains are off. I asked the gentleman working and he said “the fountains are off because of COVID”. Ok. Understandable. I told him I had no cash on hand nor did I bring a water bottle to fill since this was my first day and I saw no signs mentioning this. I asked if I could at least get a courtesy bottle. Nope. I walked away semi surprised and then shook my head. He then whispered “shake your head all you want man, deal with it”. Unacceptable behavior. I always did enjoy coming to this location sometimes it was quite crowded in the evenings and decided to try it one time and in the morning came in took a shower and wanted to start tanning I suffered from psoriasis and the tanning actually helps keep it at Bay I requested a particular bed which I knew had new bulbs and the radio worked with other features and the attended refused told me I had to take a lesser bed which one that I know the radio does not work half the bulbs are not as hot and when I tried to switch from a bed to a stand-up booth just to be able to get the vitamin d that my skin needs he refused told me that I could not because I had already booked one 24 hours in 24 hours and he could not change it it's only bad thing I've ever had to say about this place was definitely the gentleman named Jacob what a little kindness would have...
