Academy Sports + Outdoors — Attraction in Florence

I love this place! I like their own branded clothing and other merch that is very affordable and not generic. Prices for name brand stuff is usually pretty high but they do have a large variety and anything you could need related to sports and outdoors. Minus one star for associate that checked me out this time. She obviously wanted to talk to the people behind me so she was rushing me and then hit cancel when I was about to click yes to send my receipt to my email that was already on the screen from past purchases. It irked me enough when I was starting to say but I wanted a digital receipt, she cut me off and said here's your receipt. handed me the paper receipt and said thank you (at least she was pretending to be nice while she was hurrying me out of the way & not...

I've had positive experiences here in the past so I was surprised by the total lack of service I received yesterday. I plan to go anywhere but Academy in the future. I needed a new pair of Ray Bans, waited patiently at the counter, and was only acknowledged by a yelled out request for someone to go to the sunglasses counter. The worker behind the counter never made eye contact, nor did anyone else, so for at least five minutes I was totally ignored. The only smile I got was from the door greeter as I left; he was probably amused by my apparent invisibility. Easy to get to convenient to everything. I stopped in to get some work shoes for my new job. And I was greeted by a young lady named Ari. She greeted me and then asked me what I was looking for I told her. And she got very specific as to what exactly I was. Trying to find. She was extremely helpful and I was able to find a pair of work boots that they didn't have in stock. But yeah, was able to have it shipped to my house. So it was a win win for me. And Ari was probably the best store representative. I have come across in a couple years. She was knowledgeable, friendly and actually listened to me for change. Imagine that?
