This business is the worst. I ordered an executive van to pick up 6 of my elderly family members in their 60's, 70's and 80's. They speak limited English, and they needed to hurry to Port Everglades to catch their cruise. Fort Lauderdale Car Service promised to wait for them right outside customs, hold a sign with their name, and have a wheelchair waiting. I paid $156 for this service which is an 8 min drive to the port. A regular taxi at the airport costs $25. I'm sure Uber costs even less. The day of the cruise, I couldn't get a hold of my family members. I called FLCS and they assured me that my family was picked up and dropped off and everything was fine. A day later, I heard from my mother who gave me the real story. There was no one from FLCS waiting for them outside of customs. My mother wasted precious time looking for someone with their name on a sign. They had to scramble to find a wheelchair as well. As time was ticking, they eventually gave up and hurried to find a taxi to rush them to the port. They were getting in to a taxi when the driver from FLCS pulled up and told them to get in to his car. He didn't apologize for being late, but instead gave excuses and said, "Oh, you have plenty of time!" After hearing about what happened, I called FLCS with my concerns and they said they would only refund my gratuity. After explaining that I paid for a service that they did not deliver, and threatening to open a formal complaint against them, they agreed to refund my money. Booked a car to go to FLL for 11:00 AM Sept 9. Received a confirmation number. Nobody showed up. Tried calling for 20 minutes and got voice mail each time.
