Very dismissive staff. I went in there to purchase a cologne for my boyfriend as his birthday is today and I wanted to smell the cologne before I purchased it. Once I finally found the cologne, a salesperson looked right at me and proceeded to walk past me to chat with his coworkers. It wasnāt until I continued to look at the group of them before they decided to ask if I needed help. The lady that helped me was alright. They didnāt have the gift with purchase in stock, so I needed to place an order online. As I was already in store, I inquired if I could do that with the cashiers in the front, she informed me that I could, so I made my way to the line. Once I explained that I needed to make an order and we began the process, I could tell the cashier was less than enthused that I was placing an order. I tried to redeem a coupon that I could clearly see in the app could be used in store, and she proceeded to tell me I could not apply it since it was an online order. Thankfully another worker was passing and was well informed that the coupon could be applied. Once the coupon was applied, I let her know I had two eGift cards that I would like to apply. She voided the transaction so I could apply one and when I proceeded to pull up the barcode for the second one she then says I can only use one as itās an online order. I inquired about the shipping, as I needed the item by a certain day and I wanted to see if it would arrive in time. She continued to say that she could not see it on her end, but it will show up once I complete the transaction. Iāve worked retail, sales and management, for a couple of years and clearly if a customer is asking about the shipping time frame of an item you can assume they need it by a certain time. Why would I want to complete the transaction only to receive the item after the needed time? At that point, I was completely turned off and felt as though I was burdening her. I proceeded with payment and the cashier walked off to make whatever remarks about our interaction, and then made a declaration that she was taking her ā30 minute breakā. I love Ulta, but I will never visit this location again.

I was there for lash glue and conditioner and then thought about buying cologne for my stepdad since his birthday was coming up. I picked up my 10 dollar lash glue and walked over to perfumes (I also happened to be the only black girl shopping in the store). I then I noticed her circling me and my mom, so I asked if I could help her and she said no. And itās not like she was circling the store it was a small tight circle around just us. So when I noticed her the 5th time I told her that we werenāt stealing and she started shouting āI never said that.ā A couple of times. So I said forget the perfumes and I went and grab my conditioner to it she followed us to the back of the store where the conditioners were and when I headed up to the store she ran to the door as if I had something in my pocket so I let the cashier know that I felt I was being followed in the store which is uncomfortable and the security guard waited at the door as if the door was going to go off because I had something in my pocket I purchase my items and I left and gave her a glare because she was wrongly accusing me of stealing. I then called the manager later, to which I got excuses saying oh well people steal Iām like I understand but I wasnāt stealing and she defended the security guard in every way but never gave me an apology and acted as if I was overreacting to being followed so I reported them to corporate. I felt so bad that I canāt go back there and I really liked that store. Are used to work security at target I know how it works you assert your presence when you have accurate suspicions or evidence that the personās going to steal. All I was doing was smelling perfumes and I got fallowed through the entire store. Everything I touched I put back except for lash glue and conditioner and I was still followed.
