This was both my first and last hike on a recent visit to Crested Butte. Nice and easy hike with good shade for much of it. A variety of wildlife to enjoy as well. As you exit the wooded area you step into a beautiful scene reminiscent of The Sound of Music. I injured my foot on a different trail so chose this nice flat trail to finish out my visit....

This is a perfect little walk close to crested Butte with great views, summer wildflowers, and a well maintained trail. Great for people with kids, dogs, or just wanting a quick hike...
