First time cross country skier. The staff at Crested Butte Nordic were friendly and helpful. I rented on line and when I stopped by in the morning the equipment was ready for me. Had never skied cross country and the staff quickly explained the boots and bindings and trail options for someone new to cross country skiing. There is a skiing option at the facility if you have experience. As a newcomer, I was directed to two wonderful trails in town-Peanut Lake which was a short drive and the Snodgrass Trail area up past the mountain. Both were fantastic. Absolutely beautiful as you can see in the photos. I skied three days from 8am to 11am. Each trail has options for distance and skill. It was really great. Peaceful, a workout and so beautiful. The Center itself is a warm, friendly shop. Get yourself a t shirt for home to remind you to stay in as good as shape as these folks. Thank you again to the staff....
Read moreHuge shout out to Addie & Brie! They rented me gear in the evening so I could get out early the next morning... and they even held on to my snowboard & boots for me so I could quickly get to CBMR late morning for more time on the snow. And Addie recommended some amazing trails for a novice! 8 mile round trip from Three Ladies Park in town to Gunsight Bridge and back. Unbelievable views, silence and solitude, great workout. You will not be able to miss God's power and glory in His creation of these mountains!

The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock...
Read moreI recently had a ski trip scheduled to Crested Butte and a few days prior to the trip I fell on the ice at home and hit my head. I ended up with a concussion and my doctor warned me not to go skiing. He said if I were to hit my head skiing I could get brain damage or even die. When I attempted to get a refund for my ski pass I was given the biggest runaround you can imagine! I submitted the official CT results that were signed by a radiologist but was told that I needed to get a doctors note. When I sent them the doctors note them told me it needed to have an actual signature on it. When speaking with the people that process the refunds they were cold and not willing to bend an inch. It became very clear to me that they were doing everything they could to avoid refunding my money. Never again will I ski a vail...
