Is this the prettiest mountain town in Colorado? 😍 Crested Butte is one of those places that I want to come back to every summer and fall. While the fall colors are nearly past peak, it’s never too early to start planning your next trip. Here are a few of the best places places to eat and hike! Where to get coffee, lunch, and dinner: - Camp 4 Coffee - Butte Bagels - Secret Stash - Teocalli Tamale - Breadery - Rumors Coffee - A Daily Dose A few of the best trails to see fall colors: - Beaver Ponds via Ohio Pass - Judd Falls - Woods Walk - Beckwith Pass - Oh Be Joyful - Dyke Trail - Kebler Pass Have you been to Colorado during fall? #crestedbutte #coloradofall #colorfulcolorado #hikingwithdogs #wanderwomeninc #gohiking #viewcolorado #coloradoshared #coloradogram #colorado_travel #coloradoproud #coloradoexperiences #coloradoactivities #livelifeoutsideco #amongthewild #natureaddict #optoutside #hikingbangers #adventureenthusiasts

A good option for a quick breakfast or a picnic lunch! You can find your dream bagel sandwich on the menu here. Featuring a dizzying array of bagel flavors, Butte Bagels is a friendly, cozy spot that's quite popular. Per the recommendation of a different reviewer, we called ahead to avoid any potential lines and long waits (wound up being no line at all but oh well). The man who answered my call was friendly, peppy, and brightened my morning. We kept it simple and got to East Coasters -- basically a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich. I selected an everything bagel and fiancé got his on a jalapeño cheddar. Also got my dad an everything bagel with cream cheese. I didn't look super closely, but they had a couple drinks in a cooler by the cashier if you're thirsty. Not sure if you can get coffee/tea. The bagel sandwiches were very large and overall quite tasty. In an ~ideal~ world I'd have had maybe slightly more filling, but the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly and the bacon was very smoky and flavorful. Fiancé enjoyed his almost as much as mine, though he mentioned hoping for more jalapeños in his jalapeño cheddar bagel. I'd definitely return and get an East Coaster again, or try a different combination/flavor. They all looked really good!

BEST BAGELS IN CRESTED BUTTE – WORTH THE WAIT! We absolutely loved our visit to Butte Bagels, a tiny bagel shop in the heart of Crested Butte, Colorado that’s clearly a local favorite. We visited on a Sunday morning and there was a line out the door — always a good sign! From getting in line to walking out with our food took about 45 minutes, but it was absolutely worth the wait. We ordered the Hippie bagel on an everything bagel and the Mortimer on an onion bagel — both were packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and perfectly chewy bagels. This is hands down some of the best breakfast in Crested Butte. Whether you’re fueling up for a day on the slopes, exploring downtown Crested Butte, or just craving a solid bagel sandwich, Butte Bagels is the perfect stop. The vibe is laid-back, the staff is friendly, and the food is well worth the hype. If you’re searching for bagels near Crested Butte Mountain Resort, breakfast before skiing, or just want a truly great bite in town — don’t miss this spot. We’ll definitely be back!

We visited town on a Sunday morning around 9 so we expected it to be busy, which it was. There were roughly 10 people in front of us, which we thought was fine. It was not.

It took over 45 minutes to get to the counter to order, and then it took another 30 minutes for our bagels to come out. At first I figured it was a staffing shortage, but then as I was sitting in the place waiting for our bagels, I noticed all the cooks in the back goofing off and generally just not making bagels. Looking outside, the line backup had gotten to 50+ people waiting for their bagels.

I hate to be that guy, but making bagel sandwiches just cannot take that long. Or if it really does, prepare better or work a little more efficiently.

Anyway, we got the bagels and they were pretty decent. The only redeeming factor here. But no way I’d wait 1.5 hours for them.

Wish...
