We stopped by the Narrow Path tasting shop on Main Street during a recent stay in Fredericksburg. We did the whites/reds tasting, and, IMHO, the wines were just OK. Comparing the selections we tried vs. other TX wineries, the wines at Narrow Path lacked depth and complexity. The server in the tasting room was not really familiar with the wines she was pouring, constantly using her phone to read descriptions of the varietals and tasting notes. The cost of the tasting was reasonable, cheaper than many of the other tasting rooms on Main Street. Very nice selection of wines. The staff were super nice and knowledgeable. Dakota was extremely into wines and really able to educate us on the various different selections. He knew his wines. Overall very nice place.
One has to get used to Texas tasting where they pour right into the same glass for the different wine tastings. The tasting was a bit overpriced at $15 for 5 wines but the education one received and explanation of the wines was very good. Still should have been a bit less like $10.
