Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Fredericksburg, the Albert Hotel is a beautifully curated blend of old‑world Texas charm and contemporary design. Housed within preserved 19th‑ and early‑20th‑century structures—like the iconic White Elephant Saloon and Keidel Pharmacy—this boutique resort offers 105 thoughtfully designed guestrooms, including family‑friendly bunk rooms, spacious suites, and even a private house for larger gatherings . By day, lounge in style by the sunken limestone pool surrounded by shaded cabanas, or rejuvenate in the full‑service spa. Culinary delights await at four distinct venues: a café-style pharmacy market, the lively Saloon, a refined main restaurant helmed by a Michelin‑star kitchen, and a forthcoming BBQ spot . With valet parking, in‑room dining, and flexible event spaces (3,600 sq ft indoor + lawn), Albert Hotel serves as an elegant Hill Country retreat perfect for couples, families, or weekend explorers . 📍 213 E Austin St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624, USA 🌎 www.alberthotel.com #f#fredericksburgt#texascountryb#besthotelsf#fypf#fyf#fypシt#tiktoktravelt#travelt#travelerh#hotelreviewt#tiktokofthedayv#viralv#viralvideo

The Hotel The Albert Hotel itself is stunning and perfectly located in the heart of Fredericksburg, backing right up to Main Street. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the pool area is especially gorgeous—one of the main draws for staying here. The Room While the rooms are stylish, they lack a few basic conveniences that would make the stay more comfortable. There are no nightstands, the bathroom counter space is very limited, and there’s no small dining table in case you’d like to eat in your room. These omissions make the rooms feel less functional than they should for the price point. Amenities & Service This is where the hotel really falls short. The $25 nightly amenity fee is supposed to cover things like water, ice, and drip coffee delivered to your room, as well as amenities at the pool. In reality, it felt like we paid the fee but received almost none of the services it was meant to cover. When we requested water, staff gave conflicting answers—sometimes saying bottled water would cost extra, other times delivering it without issue. With coffee, we specifically asked for two cups, but instead were brought a carafe and told we’d be charged more, despite the fee supposedly covering complimentary drip coffee delivery. We ended up grabbing coffee from the self-serve lobby station, which was underwhelming. The biggest frustration was the pool and pool bar. Part of the amenity fee should cover poolside service, and the hotel’s website advertises a pool bar open from 11am–8pm. Since we were traveling with a baby, this was one of the main reasons we chose the property—wanting to spend our time enjoying the pool without having to leave. Instead, the experience was completely different: • Friday: The bartender called last call at 6pm, two hours earlier than posted. • Saturday: The pool bar never opened at all, despite staff telling us repeatedly it would open “in five minutes.” After an hour, the front desk sent someone from the restaurant to take orders, but we could only order off the restaurant’s pricier menu—not the pool bar menu. • Sunday: The pool bar was again closed, and the same workaround was offered, with no explanation as to why. At no point were we given a clear answer about why the pool bar wasn’t operating, despite the amenity fee and the hotel’s own stated hours. We essentially paid for full pool amenities and received none of them—no bar, no service, no convenience. On top of that, parking is another $25 per night, though we were able to find free street parking nearby. Overall The Albert Hotel is undeniably beautiful, with an ideal location and stunning pool area. However, for the price and the mandatory nightly fees, the inconsistencies and lack of follow-through on promised amenities made the experience frustrating. If you’re paying for pool service, coffee delivery, and convenience, you should actually receive them. Until the hotel addresses these issues and delivers on the services it advertises, the value simply isn’t there. Update: tried to call the manager to speak about this twice, left a message and did not receive a call back. Very unprofessional to not return a customers call.

It's brand spanking new, so some little things that could use some attention. I'll get to that later. Checking in was a tad sporadic, due to wifi issues. Hey F-Burg has always had wifi issues. What was good is, the front staff were quite accommodating and handled the situation well. Plus, one of them had a little bitty bowtie on her fingernail. Right!? Totally cool. I ushered Suzie over to the bar to meet Patrick, "The German" bartender. Meanwhile, the computer was up and some chick cut in front of me. No worries. My turn, got the low down.. like 24hrs Coffee delivery to the room.. yup. In the old days, there were other things that one might do to stay up all night, but this was unique and extraordinary. Same with water service if I remember correctly. Checked in, they do take a credit card for incidentals, Ms cut in line, couldn't quite comprehend this. Front desk bow tie gurl, explained it very well. She must be in management, if not she should. I quickly got caught up, got the welcome spiel, bell boy (is that PC these days?) had our luggage and I slipped him a Hamilton and asked if he would deposit my luggage in our room while I got acquainted to the almost to good looking barkeep my spouse was swooning over. Yes sir, thank you sir was the response from said luggage assistant.||Room, when we finally got there. Very nice. Larger than I expected. We were in a Springs King, overlooking the pool on the third floor. #339. Bathroom was well appointed, glass enclosed shower, towels and stuff. Stuff I don't like, not a hit on these guys, but lotion. All the friggin lotion. Whatever happened to a bar of soap? All these high class hotels want me to smell like George Michaels. Look it up. I don't want to use a wash cloth and wash my privates, it never ends well and I want to end up throwing said washcloth away. Not on top of my Charmin game I guess. Anyhow. The wonderful things about the decor is, modern chic, subtle. The bed, amazing. TV worked. There isn't not really a very comfortable place to sit and watch and see the TV, just a bench in front of the bed. Or, I guess you could actually be in bed. Perhaps you could pull out the TV and it's on a swivel mount? Maybe the luggage assistant would of pointed that out to me had I given him the time of day to go up to the room with him. That's on me. There was a safe, hidden in a bottom drawer. The usual expensive stoner snacks. Yes, I had the popcorn and trail mix. $30 bill there probs. There was a little fridge for vino/adult beverages all at convenient price-point. It fits a bottle of wine I didn't finish after an amazeball meal at The Restaurant. Btw, eat there. I wished there was an easier way to stream on the TV. I wish we didn't stay in a little late so our room wasn't serviced till late afternoon. I really wish that when the place was built some sound insulation was added between the walls. We had a gaggle next door and it got a tad loud, but it was tolerable. Didn't necessarily wake me up or perhaps it did. I fell back to sleep in my comfy bed.||While we were waiting on our dinner that evening, we revisited Ze German at the bar. A strapping young man with a quick smile, deep blue eyes and the accent. He was boisterous, entertaining, witty, friendly, fit and made good drinks. He was a show man in command of his bar. Nothing wrong with that. The bar was a lively place on a Friday night and some good simple food options and the usual transient crowd, just with the current political environment, best to keep conversations with strangers, light. And I don't think he was a good businessman, Lubbock gurl.||Two nights were a very nice respite from Austin. I enjoyed sitting in the lobby and reading some and enjoying getting over the hangover from the night before. Just me and the love of my life, chillin in a great space relaxing getting ready for our evening out. Everyone here is on the very nice side of things. Seems they really like their jobs and being there. Or they put out some really good ju ju.||We will definitely be back. We may just be back to eat at The Restaurant and least we forget the huge Room Service breakfast. That ham/cheese thing...
