I would give a negative star review if possible. Terrible Experience at Dogologie in Fredericksburg
My wife and I had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience at Dogologie on Sunday, September 1st, around 2:15 pm. We approached the store with our well-behaved puppy, excited to browse their products. However, as we entered, two small dogs from another customer started barking at our dog. Naturally, our puppy barked backânothing unusual for a dog in such a situation.
But what happened next was shocking, embarrassing, and incredibly rude. As soon as we stepped inside, a woman with glasses and a bad hairdo immediately and loudly reprimanded us, telling us to take our dog outside if she was going to âact like that.â This was done in front of everyone, completely humiliating us as first-time customers. What made it even worse was that our dog didnât start the barking, yet we were the ones singled out and scolded, while the other customerâs dogs were ignored.
It was utterly unprofessional and embarrassing, especially for a store that deals in dog supplies. We were trying to support a small local business, but after this experience, we felt incredibly unwelcome and disrespected. With big box store options like PetSmart available, youâd think a local store like Dogologie would focus on providing a welcoming and positive experience for all customers. Unfortunately, that wasnât the case.
We left immediately and will not be returning. If you expect fair treatment and a welcoming environment for you and your pet, I strongly suggest avoiding Dogologie. This experience was a huge...

My husband and I walked into the store today, very eager to purchase items for both of ours dogs (a 14 year old morkie and our 10 month old rescue puppy). Upon entering the store a woman was exiting with her two small shitzu dogs who were barking and lunging at ours. She then decided to walk back into the store. When my husband and I entered the store her dogs immediately again started barking and lunging at our puppy and she excitedly barked back, the girl at the front of the store (who had blonde hair) very rudely and in front of all patrons in the store told us to leave the store because of our dog. There was a tone, and we were meant to feel that our dog was the issue. We were very much singled out in that moment in your store. The lady with her two dogs (that were still barking at ours) were not treated equally. Because of this experience we left immediately, did not feel welcome at all and quite frankly wouldnât return ever to be treated like that.
Iâll add weâre very active members at our dog park, and weâve invested a lot time and training with our rescue pup. Our dog is very friendly and sheâs extremely submissive, itâs also why we chose her because we have a 9lb morkie. To be treated like that, when it was another personâs dogs barking and lunging at her seems like a very quick judgement against a rescue puppy that just so happened to be...

We were staying at Peach Tree Inn and leaving on Thursday morning. I wanted to get a treat for our Yorkie Zuna, who was staying with my daughter. We walked to the door and I reached to open it as my husband stated that they open at 1030. I did tug on the handle twice because I thought I did it wrong. My phone said 1031.  The woman who came to the door was irritated and said something about opening early. Her watch apparently said 1029. I have worked retail in my life, so I understand opening early shouldn't happen, but we were basically on time.  We bought a couple of items and as we left I said I'm sorry about the time confusion.  No one acknowledged us. In fact, as we checked out, we could have been invisible. There was no customer service or courtesy.  This establishment is in a tourist area. I realize most of us are unlikely to be repeat customers, but we share our experiences. In fact, we picked up brochures for another couple at church who plan to go in September and we got brochures from my sister in law who loved Fredericksburg.  I just feel courtesy and acknowledgement of a customer goes a long way toward the total...
