This is the best place to shop for indian goods. You name it and they probably have it! Indian snacks, healthcare, sweets, a mini restaurant, takeout place, vegetables, dairy products, and a lot more. Basically, if you cannot find what you're looking for here, then you won't find it in any other indian grocery. They prices are very reasonable and the best thing I love about this place is the authenticity of the indian food that they pack for take outs. Maybe twice or once a week, I always take out some indian food to satisfy my cravings. 😉 they also have a branch down in Mission boulevard on the way to Hayward but I'm not sure if it's operational. The place is surrounded by amazing restaurants and fun places to spend time in. The position of the store is very convenient as well because it's just 5 minutes away from the highway exit. I forgot to mention that this area also had a few indian restaurants around it and also Afghan restaurants. If you are hungry and looking for food, this just might be the area to fill up that empty stomach of yours. Hopefully this information will be helpful in making your decisions...
Read moreThis is the Indian grocery you're looking for [As the Jedi reviewer waves his hand across your face.] It shouldn't take a Jedi mind trick to figure out where to shop for Indian food, but being that this is in Fremont, there are significant options.
With that said, I shop them all, and this was my favorite. Favorite. It was my favorite because it had everything I needed to pretend to be Indian for a month. I tried other groceries, but found myself missing ingredients for Indian recipes that I had found online and decided to cook.
Ultimately, when shopping at other locations I found myself going to two or three different stores before I could find all the ingredients to make Tandoori chicken, or whatever other dish I decided to mess up that night.
The aisles are spacious, the selection is a plenty, and they even have a small store attached where you can purchase religious idols. Overall, the experience was almost perfect. If I have to be slightly nitpicky, the checkout experience was a little weird because of the way you had to line up with no clear direction. Other than that, it's a total...

NOT COMING BACK for SURE Today we went to the store for some food but I didn’t want to go in so I asked my friend to go in and get the food for togo. 5 minutes later she called me to come inside as the 2 PUNJABI GUYS were making her UNCOMFORTABLE by talking and laughing while looking at her. She told me that whenever she looked that way they would make eye contact and give WEIRD smile even tho she did never smile back once. After I came in I asked her who was it, she shut me down coz she didn’t want to make any seen about it. Then I say those 2 shabby guys standing together under the FRESH SWEETS & PASTRIES SIGN, one woman was collecting her food and while she was walking away one of the guy directed the other guy to check out the lady in a CHEAP WAY. I instantly knew they were the guys. We took the food and took off, didn’t even feel like eating the food and end up throwing it away.
