Food taste is not to go gaga over. There are many other places with a better ambience serving excellent food for the same price. I observed that food was being served with bare hands by a few employees. Tables are not maintained clean and the customers are asked to wait when asked for the table to be cleaned. I had to request 3 times and keep following it up as we, a family of 7, waited for the dirty tables to be cleaned for nearly 15-20 minutes with the food in our hands. They expect customers to clean the table before and after eating. Finally a person came and did a good job of the table but to my shock and disgust used the same cloth to needlessly wipe the chairs and left as if he had obliged us. I then dragged another chair and sat. Once on a previous visit the bhel puri given was watery soaked in hot chutneys that it was impossible to eat but unlike in India where customers feel free to complain and get justice here all visitors are polite and silent. The rotis brought home 3-4 days back were not fresh, but cold and seen sticking together. The restaurant attitude is overbearing and careless as the owner knows that people will invariably come to try the tempting snacks after getting tired with shopping. I strongly advise the eatery with no ambience to hire a cleaner exclusively for the tables or to remove all tables and make it a to-go eatery not to take customers for granted to improve the taste of all the snacks to reduce the prices in accordance with the service provided to increase the quantity of pickle and raita provided with parathas. I have been a regular customer here but this time it has not been a good experience (star rating is only for this experience not overall). I bought two currys 1) Veg Curry 2) Baigan Bharta, rotis and few other snacks. After reaching home, we served in the plates and then found that the Baigan Bharta was smelling and tasting that it was burnt from the bottom. Couldn’t eat it so I took the box to them. The guy who I bought it from called someone from inside.

The good thing(s) - they replaced it with another curry for me so I appreciate it. The bad thing(s) - the guy from the store commented “you got to know after eating some of it” in a weird voice as if he wanted to say that we have eaten it and then returning it for fun or a few bucks.. I found it so silly and asked “are you expecting me to put it back from the plates? I can do that if you want”.

One more thing even after my complaints they were bringing the Baigan Bharta from inside and still keeping it without checking/ validating my concern. I can just hope it was not from the same lot.

I expect that they are respectful when somebody is giving them the direct feedback and take it positively. It’s not a blame, we all know that these things happen.

Their Small size samosas are too good for the price (3 for $1, unbelievable in Bay area).!! If you're looking for vegetarian Desi food and want to avoid Fast food, then this is the place. They provide Dine-in, To-go and online order and then home delivery option too. You can avoid tips and extra surcharge which Restaurants will make you pay by choosing this place. However, They charge separate order fee and service fee apart from tax to get the food delivered to your place through door dash. It becomes too expensive then. Also, Their rotis are too dry and if you're planning to eat after 2-3 hours, you'll have to apply Butter or Ghee otherwise it'll be too dry to chew. Their Paneer curries are good but mix-veg, Chhole curries are not that great.. Not at least at par of what price they're charging for. I'd consider them for Samosas and for Paneer...
