Monster Mini Golf Frisco — Attraction in Frisco

I was looking for something fun to do with my two kids on a Saturday. I searched online and found this place, the reviews were pretty good, so I thought we’d check it out. We arrived around 6pm and there didn’t appear to be a lot of cars in the parking lot. We walked inside and there was a neat skeleton display to take some photos with the family. We walked through the second set of doors, and the room was dim. There was an arcade, party booths to the right, and the mini golf course at the back of the building. There was a moderate amount of people inside playing arcade games.

We walked to the service counter and were welcomed right away. The woman who helped us was very friendly and warm. My daughter is a college student, so she gave us a discount on my daughter’s ticket, and my son received the youth rate. She told us there was going to be a 30–45-minute wait. She took my phone number and said they would send us a text message when they were ready for our group to play. We decided to go back outside and wait in our car until we received the text. Roughly 40 minutes later we received the text message. We went inside and were given our golf clubs. We were also given a pencil and score sheet, then we were directed to the start of the gold course. Each hole we played was a lot of fun. I felt they were age appropriate for my 9yo son, but still challenging for my daughter and myself at the same time. The space was entirely dark with a blue light throughout, it was pretty cool because all of the paintings and artwork glowed, and the random displays really popped out. The golf balls were neon and it was a lot fun hitting the balls in the dark. There were lots of drawings around the room, and it was a lot of fun finding things on the walls and around the room as we traveled from course to course.

Overall, we spent about 1hr 15 minutes playing and had a fantastic time. At the end of our game, we tallied up our scores, and the person who lost the game received a prize. It was a great time with my kids. The atmosphere, music, artwork, and friendly staff really made family night a blast. I highly recommend Monster Golf for some unique fun. Nice place for a Party!! Kids will have fun definitely. But beware of extra charges.

Pros: The host is nice. Kids get to play golf + arcade. Not only arcade like some places. To add on, they have bowling and Lazer Maze (Although Lazer Maze was not working for a lil while of my Party and I had paid for it in advance).

Cons: The Manager tries to keep selling you everything and is a little rude.

First they told me I will have 90 mins in the room + mini golf. Then they told me Golf is included in those 90 mins. (Which could have been a misunderstanding, but later I felt it was not). But then she said, you have to pay extra if you want to Golf later. I said no, Lets do it within the time frame.

Secondly, I wanted to cut the cake along with the food. They told me we will cut the cake after Golfing. Which was odd for me, but I agreed.

Third, they said we will hand out Arcade cards directly to the Kids after Golfing. I told them to give me the cards after Golfing, so I can hand them over myself after we cut the cake (along with the return gifts). Which got a little heated. Coz, then no kid will come for the cake. And I will practically have no time for cake. They wanted me to extend the party hours and asked me to pay extra for the room again. For which I said no. I had already booked for Bowling and Lazer maze along with the Golfing. They had practically left no room for the cake. I felt rushed due to the mismanagement on their part. If we would have done cake along with food like every other place, we would not need the room after that.

BTW: My food was 10 mins late. But they had initially told me they will have three games in the room for kids to play. But they had only one. When I asked they played one more. And by then the food had arrived. It would be a much better party, if they would have managed the time properly and not rushed. Instead of giving us slots of party room and game and then again party room. They would have given us 60 mins in party room. And then 30 mins of mini golf. Instead we had 20 mins room games. 20 mins for food. 30 mins for golf. And the remaining 20 mins for the cake. I felt like they kept pushing us to charge for more time.

I visited this place last Saturday because my boyfriend wanted to play putt putt golf. I would have given them a zero if I could have. First off, the place was located on the corner of a strip mall. They have arcades, bowling, laser tag, and putt putt golf all inside this place. We went up to the register to pay, and they have different combos for all of the activities you want to do. The combo that included all of the activities was $25 per person plus tax. The cashiers were high school students. They did not bother to tell us that there was a 30 to 45 minute wait to play putt putt golf. We decided to wait since we had already paid. They did not have very many arcades and a few of them were broken. They did have game cards. There was a virtual reality game that had a mask that you had to put on before you put on the headset. Covid-19 is very rampant and that is a serious germ spreader if I have ever seen one. We were finally called to play golf. We played to rounds and when we got to the third round, a man and his grandson jumped in front of us and did not say sorry or do you mind if we cut in front of you. We decided to leave because it would have taken at least 30 minutes to get through the whole course. It was also very hot inside the place because they were trying to cram a lot of people into a small space. I am most definitely not interested in returning to this establishment. I will reccomend that you spend your hard earned money else where. GO TO ADVENTURE LANDING INSTEAD. THEY HAVE ARCADES, TAG, BATTING, PUTT PUTT GOLF, GO KARTS, AND BUMPER BOATS.
