Nice, quaint theatre. Great place to see a movie that has already been out for quite some time, not recommended for opening weekend movies though. Highly recommended for a weekday date. Great ambiance and feelings of nostalgia upon walking in, if they remember to keep the the mop closets closed.
Recently went to go see Star Wars, this show, of course has been packed, so decided to go for a matinee early Sunday.
The theater decided to move the show into a smaller upstairs, one bedroom studio apartment-size theater. They wanted to play holiday movies in the larger theater for some unknown reason. The small theater they moved the show to had seating identical to airplane seating. Seats are tightly squeezed next to each other, no leg room, and even though the rows in front of you drop down, they are not spaced far enough to prevent somebody's head from blocking the screen. If you wanted to get up and leave; the entire row would have to stand and back up as tight as they can against their chairs to leave barely enough room to get by.
This tiny room they moved us to has only one exit; theoretically, if a fire would have broken out, there would have been no chance for escape.
Our theory for this big blockbuster show being moved to this tiny little theater was for money. Since the matinees are several dollars cheaper than the evening shows, they would rather have their larger crowds showing up when tickets are more expensive.

Read moreI mean, what do you need at the movies? Lots of pros: Good selection of candy, good deals on kids snack deals. The theater isnt sticky or creepy. They have flavors of salt and powders to shake on your popcorn. You can refill your popcorn or drink (endlessly) really cheaply! The lighting in the bathroom takes 10 years off your face. They'll switch your ticket or refund it if your teen and her/his friends make last-minute changes or want to leave after 5 minutes. They're also great about ejecting trouble makers and keeping the place decent and safe. If you leave your teen or preteen there with friends, the staff is used to, and keeps their eyes on those groups. Some cons: I wish kids were cheaper up to a higher age. I wish there was a pass option like discounts for 10th movie or prepay passes or some kind of popcorn loyalty program lol. FYI, if a popular, new movie is your plan, get there early or get your ticket online. You can go in the day before or whatever, as well. I've seen them sell out. I've seen lines...
Read moreI was at a movie on June 30th with my fiancé and the customer service was absolutely horrible. When buying tickets (matinee rules), they were unhelpful and unfriendly in explaining how the coupons worked. Actually, only one older woman made the experience horrible. It did not seem like she wanted to be there or to ensure that the customers were happy. She was snippy about buying drinks, and came into the theatre after we had sat down. She came over to me and my fiancé and told us to sit differently because she didn't want to have to clean up after the movie had let out. Very unprofessional and gave what could have been a great trip to local movie theatre very sour turn. Looks like this theatre needs some new employees, or for one to...
