Dillard's — Attraction in Gainesville

Dillard's Gainesville has always been my go-to department store. The employees are always attentive, friendly and focused on customer satisfaction. When I shop at Dillard's I know I am buying quality apparel that will be a staple in my closet for years. I was recently in the store and needed a new brow pencil, so I stopped by the Clarin's counter, there was not an official Clarin's rep working but the Lancôme specialist was happy to help me find the product I needed. I am very thankful the Gainesville Dillard's carries Clarin's, it is a great skin care product that is hard to find; especially in a town like Gainesville where the cosmetics market is driven by the college age group primarily.

Maaaan, Dillard’s sho do love me. And my $$$money. This is a very nice store, though it took me a while to figure out there are TWO Dillard’s locations in the Oaks Mall: A Women’s store and a men’s. One of them has home goods and perfume - can’t remember which is home stuff - but the Women’s perfume and makeup section is, if you love that stuff like moi, is a very large and delightful playground. Love, love, love 💕 their shoe department. What helpful folks work there! Though Dillard’s is, in my middle-class opinion, expensive (and recently even more so), they truly have on-trend clothing. They carry a surprising variety of name brand quality stuff. Heck, even their store brand things are better than most other department stores. Bottom line: hiiiee Dillard’s…it’s me - again and again, online...

I am disgusted with the staff in Dillard's. Not everyone who walks into your store is a shoplifter. Everywhere I walked in this store I was being watched by like 20 employees. They were watching me from every corner like I'm a thief and when I asked for assistance they were nowhere to be found and were very rude when I approached them. I am not exaggerating, they will follow you around wherever you go in this store but will not assist you if you need help. They treat all customer like shoplifters and I know I am not the only one who has experienced this. It was a very uncomfortable experience for me shopping there and their stuff not very good either. I will never go this store and you shouldn't either. The staff at Dillard's need to be ashamed...
