Wellness Spa Massage Galveston — Attraction in Galveston

First off, I truly want the best for this place. It seems that the owner and staff are well intentioned. But, 3 stars is our generous rating our experience during our couple's massage. My biggest complaint is like other clients, they left the door open while checking in on someone that came in during our massage since they didn't have anyone to operate the front desk. Then when they got hot water for the foot scrub the door was also left wide open. While there were no other customers in the spa at the time it shouldn't have to be said that privacy is important especially since this is not the first review that has mentioned this happening.

It's clear there was a big language barrier, which only became an issue because of the limited guidance we were given on what the massage would entail, and what kind of pressure we preferred. Even having a piece of paper printed with "more pressure", "less pressure" and checking in on us throughout would have been helpful. Also printed instructions when clients enter would be helpful if you're unable to communicate it verbally.

My husband said his massage was very rough. Mine was descent pressure wise and there were parts of it that were great but other parts that were just ok. Also, the headrest part of the massage bed was not comfortable or soft and it smelled a bit musty.

While I wouldn't recommend this spa massage to others, I truly hope they take take this feedback and use it to improve their business because I believe it has potential...

I booked an appointment weeks in advance for 2 full body 90 minute massages with 2 female massage therapists only to show up and have them act like they had no clue what was going on. We got there and the receptionist didn’t know we asked for females. They started super late because of that and then told us in the middle of the massage that they could only do an hour because other people were waiting. Very unprofessional. I also put that I wanted light pressure and the girl dug her elbow down my entire spine. I didn’t wanna be rude and say anything so I just squirmed and tightened my whole body to basically let her know she was hurting me but she continued! 2 days later I found a bruise on my lower back. Worst place I’ve ever been to.

11/8/2021- RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE: We were not late!! We arrived 10-15 minutes prior to our appointment. YOU ALL started late because YOU ALL couldnt get yalls records straight and keep up with your appointments that were scheduled. YOU ALL started late because YOU ALL failed to see that when I CALLED and made the appointment I asked for 2 female massage therapists. Do not put the blame on me as to why the session started late. Ive gotten plenty of massages before to know that I need to get there early. Learn how to prioritize the appointments yall take and learn how to give the client exactly what they ask for so yall dont get bad reviews. POINT...

Been going to this place multiple times. I have some leg, lowerback and foot pain. The therapist they have are very professional and know which areas to focus. I feel relaxed too. I recommend if doing a full body massage go for 1 hours or so that they offer. They also have foot massage I recommend the 45 minutes or more to have the experience and relaxation completely. It's worth it. All the tensions I have on my muscles feels much better afterwards. Also, I recomend calling the place before showing up. I think it will be more clear for both sides about the service. All of their staff are very respectful too. They even ask if its too much pressure for you or not.The place is maintained and clean.

Also Kelly, she's been very helpful and quick to respond to inquiries whenever I call the place to do reservation. She's very nice and welcoming like everyone. If busy at the moment she atleast respond and tell you she'll contact you back. They also confirm your appointment. They'll call and message a day before and the main day. Never missed once to check back on me.Not other place keep you hanging. They understood and speak English. As a sign of respect they also nod to response as they say yes.
