Buckshot Saloon — Restaurant in Galveston

DO NOT GO HERE EVER!

Me and my and Fiancée went there for her 22nd birthday. We were having a good time dancing and I decided to go to the bathroom really quick between songs. After that I come back to find my Fiancée laid face first on the table and I know she didn’t have enough to drink to make her do I that know she had only had about 4 drinks. After this she was unresponsive and we had a ambulance come get her and on her way out in the stretcher the OWNER OF THE BAR/DJ makes a comment saying “no one told me there was a dead girl here” I heard it and turned around telling him to watch his mouth but a message to you little man is if there werent cops around I would have put you in your place right there and if I see you again I will make up for that night.

Turns out we get to the hospital and the paramedic says that he gets calls from this bar frequently about being roofied and he thinks thats what happened to her. Needless to say this draws me to believe that it came from one of the bartenders with how frequent this is happening. Do not trust this place to service you guys in a safe manner. STAY FAR AWAY.

Walking into buckshots was the worst mistake of my life…

Even from the start I could tell this place wasn’t right, the guy at the door checking ids refused my friend for simply dressing in normal clothes nothing explicit or out of the ordinary then I noticed how they write sharpie on the people who are under 18 and then you watch those same people go run into the bathroom to rub it off?! After that the whole bar is full of 18-19 year old weirdos making the girls I was with feel uncomfortable. We took our things and left, the girls I was with later told me they were worried about getting ‘roofied’ since that’s very frequent here. I’ve never been to a bar where I wanted to get up and walk out until I came to...

The place was fine but many of the dancers have horrible dance etiquette. I went there twice while on vacation and had several of the "dancers" say they were resting or flat out no when I asked them to dance (only 1 guy actually asked me to dance a few times and that was after I began asking questions about dancing to a friend of his). Several of the guys said they were resting and would dance with me later only to immediately dance with a young girl. I'm a good follow and a good dancer and dance many styles but I'm not in my 20's so I guess I'm not worth dancing with in galveston.
