Thursday, June 10, 2021 - 7:00pm 💗 Mysterious Mansion. Walking back to our hotel on River Road we heard spooky sounds and came upon Mysterious Mansion. We’ve chosen to vacation in Gatlinburg for years and have always meant to stop in but always forgot to. So glad we didn’t just walk on by. Ticket prices are $17 for adults and $11 for kids. Military and First Responders get $2 off with proper ID. There are three stories to this dark mansion with lots of steps to climb, tricky floor spaces, multiple rooms with a variety of scary themes, lots of terrifying loud sounds, and multiple monsters trying to get you at every turn. Thankfully we survived the experience with no demons touching us at all (they were well trained by dearly departed employees with a threat of the afterlife if the monsters do touch you). I throughly enjoyed every second of the experience and plan on making it a part of our Smoky Mountain routine every trip. Well ‘executed’ my friends. 😱👻💀 P.S. - Would love to see a locker for guests to store bags, umbrellas, etc. while doing the walk through.

👻🏚️🕯️🔍😱 Mysterious Mansion offers a thrilling escape into a world of eerie adventure, a beloved Gatlinburg destination that has captured imaginations since childhood memories began. This haunted house is masterfully crafted, providing an atmosphere that is both delightfully creepy and intriguingly fun. As you explore its dimly lit corridors and creaking staircases, every shadow and whisper adds to the suspense. Inside, the attention to detail is remarkable, from the Victorian decor to the strategically placed effects that send shivers down your spine. The characters you encounter are not merely actors; they embody the spirits of the mansion, each with a story that pulls you deeper into the mystery. For those who love a good scare mixed with history and a dash of theatrical flair, Mysterious Mansion delivers an unforgettable experience. It's a nostalgic journey for those who remember it from their childhood, offering both chills and thrills balanced with a touch of humor, making it a perfect adventure for horror enthusiasts and families alike.

I had to leave a review after our experience at the Mysterious Mansion. We went the Saturday after hurricane Helena and they were short staffed. Only 3 employees were able to get to work due to flooding and road closures. The wait to get in was a little long and people were piled in the waiting room. Brandon (we called him Steve the whole time) was phenomenal and did everything he could to make sure we had a great time. I didn't catch the other guys name but he was also very good. In an attraction that they would usually have many more people throughout the mansion, the 2 of them seems to be in EVERY room jumping out and scaring the buh-jesus out of my girlfriend. I really hope the owner sees this review so those 2 get the recognition they deserve for an awesome performance. They made it with the unusually long wait. We will DEFINITELY be back to experience the fully staffed tour. I hope all the other employees are safe and didn't suffer too much loss. Thank you again for an amazing experience.

I strongly suggest if you require an ID before going in to at least put that in the rules. Unfortunately, it is not common sense to have an ID to enter a haunted house because no haunted house ever needs one and i’ve seen the management reply to this argument that it is common sense so don’t use that. They are allowed to tell you how old they “think” you are which is very unprofessional and insulting. We waited in line for 2 hours in the cold and were refused to be let in because none of us had our ID and the oldest one was 20 but was told he looked younger than 16. This man had a full beard and was 6’2. Before we even spoke to the ticket lady she acted like we had already done something wrong and had a horrible attitude towards us. After she had told us we had to have an ID (which she did VERY rudely) we told her we didn’t have one because no haunted house we had ever been to has required that. She then told us that none of us were sixteen INCLUDING the 20 year old with us. I would’ve understood if it had STATED that anywhere in the rules/policy but no where did it even mention that. After being refused entry we left and decided to call the place to see if we missed that an ID was required. We started by asking if the haunted house needed an ID and the lady replied with “if I don’t think you look sixteen which you don’t SOUND sixteen then i’m not letting you in.” We then looked at all of the reviews, the good ones looked completely fake and the dozens of bad reviews talked about how boring the haunted house was and the RUDE TICKET LADY. If she doesn’t fix her attitude which she clearly has not in years according to the reviews this place will absolutely go out of business for its HORRIBLE...

Very disappointed with spending $50 on tickets I wasn't able to use due to cashier's ridiculousness.

I visited here on a very quiet and not crowded Sunday evening around 5pm. There was no line and no other guests waiting. I had dinner reservations which meant I had to leave by 5:35, so I asked the cashier how long it takes to go through the house. He said we'd have to wait for 5 minutes, and then it would take about 20 minutes to go through. Perfect! Enough time to go through the mansion and still make the dinner reservations with about 15 minutes to spare.

Instead, the cashier kept us waiting for 20 minutes. I could no longer go through the house because I didn't have the time, so I asked the cashier if I could come back in about an hour, and he said "no refunds." I explained I didn't want a refund, rather, I wanted to come back in an hour because I wasn't going to make my dinner reservation because we'd been kept waiting much longer than we were promised. The cashier just kept saying "no refunds."

The cashier's behavior was unreasonable given that: 1) I wasn't asking for a refund, 2) he told us we'd be done by 5:25 but that wasn't going to happen b/c we'd been waiting for so long, and 3) a very logical solution was presented (I'd just come back after I had dinner).

I wasted $50 on tickets that I never got to use because the cashier lied about the wait time. I was very disappointed and recommend only buying tickets if you have an hour or two to kill, as the cashier will keep you waiting as long as possible to see if other guests...

I loved this place the last 2 times but this time they were super rude. They were busy tonight and they placed us with 4 other people in our group which was fine. They were rushing us out to begin with at the front desk. Then they had the audacity to be mad at us for going too fast. They had only 2 workers tonight to do the scares and the clown didn't do any of the scares because apparently they couldn't keep up. We were moving at a regular pace but with 2 workers and her being the only one running around from place to place...we were going to fast. The lady got mad at me and said that I was the leader and moving the group. The people they placed us with wouldn't move and everyone acted like they were too scared to go so I decided to be the person in the front. She said that the group wasn't able to get scared and she apologized to them and tried to blame me smh and not their lack of workers. I wasted 84 dollars and They were only taking cash so I had to go to an ATM and come back to begin with. Don't waste your money. The house looks great and the decor is nice but they are SUPER RUDE AND WE WERE NOT SCARED BECAUSE THEY HAD 2 PPL IN COSTUMES AND ONLY 1 WAS DOING ALL THE WORK. She said that she kept asking me to slow down but she just kept muttering things in her acting voice about our pace and I really couldn't understand what she was trying to say. Anyways, I understand people being understaffed, but they need to learn how to be professional and not blame the customers for their lack of workers....
