Con for a clerk!!! Pretty nice store with a lot of choices. While taking over 3-year-old on his first big family vacation to the Smoky mountains we stopped in this little magical gem. The clerk was running a scam It was inevitable I couldn't get around it. I showed him what I wanted. Three of these, three of those, three of those, two of these etc. Nice and slow. But several points during this order he put things back instead of begging them. But first I thought it was just the one time but as it turned out it was all said and done We had paid for everything! And only received half of it!.
In hindsight I now realize why he asked if I wanted a receipt. He wanted to make sure there was no way I could prove anything.
So let's make this public. Here's a picture of everything I bought. (There is a Reese Pretzel we ate) otherwise everything is here. I guarantee you the nine other sugary fruity wedges that I ordered are missing. I think he puts things back and then keeps the cash. My bill was 26$. I paid them cash. I'm not mad that he's stealing but I am mad that I didn't at least get to have the candy. It would have been better if he overcharged me but instead he just kept my candy. I'm going to call the store one of these days soon but since you're asking here is my review. Screw this place. There's other candy stores in the area. This happened on...
Read moreWe were camping in Gatlinburg. The only day we went anywhere in town, we went to Sweets. There was no crowd control, kids were putting their hands right in the candy bins, the candy scoops, which were in short supply, were being passed around, without anyone wiping them and, frequently, dropped right into the candy bin. No gloves or hand sanitizer were available to use... Most places with "high-touch" areas have these items available. My daughter is covid positive (we're both negative). I cannot prove she got it at Sweets, but we're negative, she is the only one who ate the candy/handled those scoops. We went to the wine shop next door to use their hand sanitizer before we let her touch the candy. However, she had already handled the candy bag and there is no telling how many people handled the metal scoops that were dropped back into the candy bins. I would love to have an epidemiologist study the incidence of covid infections after visiting Sweets, the week after Christmas. This place should be...
Read moreAll I can really say is that this place is like a dream for kids. I mean, they really love candy, so let them have at it.
Food: What is food? The only food here is candy. 🍬🍭 You can choose from our selection of gummy worms and bears. To sour patch airheads. Basically any candy that you can think of. But don't eat too much or you might get a sugar rush. That's why they call the place sweet in the first place.
Service: You can expect a lot of people here all the time anytime. So that's exactly why all the staff are very sweet. Just like the name suggests.
Atmosphere: It literally feels like you're on cloud 9. Kids will absolutely love it around here. I mean, they might just stay here for as long as they want. Everything is very colorful to the eye. I want to go here again and again...
