Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. — Restaurant in Gatlinburg

Absolutely horrible experience at this Bubba Gump location. To start, the host and hostess were giving out 2-3 hour wait times. In reality, the wait was only 30 minutes. I hate to see restaurants just pushing off customers. Once seated, anyone could notice the ten or so empty tables in the restaurant at all times. It's clear the kitchen is easily overwhelmed. My husband ordered the $38.99 boil. He received cold food. We couldn't let our server know because he was outside smoking a cigarette. We flagged someone down who was kind and we thought took care of us by bringing out a new boil, only to find out that the shrimp were still raw/uncooked in the middle. They were mushy. Our server went out to smoke at least 2-3 times during the duration of our meal. Our appetizer (calamari) was pulled from the fryer several minutes before being delivered to our table at room temperature. IT must have been one of the managers first day because she asked another manager when they stop taking names for tables. This was two hours before they closed. They told her they don't stop taking names. Everything was super unprofessional. To top it off, our server also provided poor service to the table behind us.We heard him apologizing for how the food came out-half was for that table and half of the tray for another table. There was a large time gap in delivery of food for them. Due to his smoking breaks he never checked on them and they asked for the ticket to pay and leave. After they left he picked up the ticket and yells, "$5 on $100, I'm so blessed for the holidays". I had the seafood stuffed shrimp. I was less than pleased. Our server didn't bring salads before the meal. I asked for them once meal was delivered or we wouldn't have got them. Overall, poor food quality, poor friendliness from staff, and poor cleaning. To add to the poor sanitary efforts-we watched the busser wipe seats at the table and then go to wiping the tables. Never once did he have a cleaner present or a different rag. It is awful to think I'm eating off a table just wiped with a rag that wiped where butts sit all day. I don't leave reviews often, but this one deserved a 0 out of 5 for me so I wanted to make sure to share our experience. All three "managers" on staff need to do better and be more present! Offer to compensate your paying customers that pay $120 for a disgusting meal!...

First off it was my first time and had herd lots of mixed reviews. Ik the restaurant has a cult following but still my experience was terrible. I ordered the fish and chips . What I got was barely any fish just deep fried in tons of batter. The fish had no taste at all and the batter was way way way way over season to much Ole bay seasoning and just go awful I legit took 3 bites and didn't eat any more of the fish. I then tried the slaw and even looking at the slaw ik what it would be but I still said I'm going to give them the benefit nope the slaw was 80% the cabbage core so hard you could barely chew it again few bites and I just couldn't even eat it and it had a really weird after taste like it had some oil from the fish fried grease. Then I moved on to the fries and I thought to my self the fish wasn't good the slaw wasn't good it's hard to mess up fries so I ate a few and again they were way way way to over season and had either a really strong lemon flavor like lemon pepper or lemon extract/juice and not the fresh lemon taste. The sweet tea I got was mediocre at best . I've had a fish sandwich from Mc Donald's that was better then my whole meal at Bubba gumps . I will not be eating here again the food was not worth eating the staff seem to barely function all looked sleep deprived and understaffed the food was awful. I've never in my life been so angry and let down by a restaurant in my life. Also the bathroom wasn't very clean at all there was actual dust on the sink showing that it been not cleaned in a while also one of the air dryer didn't even work and didn't even have a sign or piece of paper saying out of order also the wall mounted soap was rip off and they had small squirt top bottles of soap some weird pink color after washing my hands I could smell that something was off. I looked at the soap the date was way way out and it said not for public use and had certain compounds in the soap that's not used for the general public because it includes dyes and other things that most people are allergic to. I would also like to point out since last night I've been not feeling good having the runs and sleepy and not felt good. EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND DONT RECOMMEND...

Please read this review before spending your hard earned money at this restaurant. I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time was during a slow lunch time for them and our experience was nice. Our second time was on Saturday evening during the dinner rush. Party of 2. We ordered our drinks and at the same time we ordered our food because we already knew what we wanted. We waited a good 45 minutes and then tables around us were filling up and getting their food before us. We had 3 drink refills by the time it was an hour after we ordered. We knew something was wrong when we hardly seen our waiter who was also the bartender , noticed the table next beside us who came in way after us received their food first then other tables kept receiving the food. One waiter told us the kitchen was behind , then another guy working the at the bar came to our table and said the kitchen lost our ticket and he was polite and apologized. We got our meal delivered after waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes later . All we ordered was Shrimp and the chicken fried meal . We were ready to leave by the time the manager came to the table as we requested she said they were experiencing technical difficulties and everyone’s order was out of place. After the 3rd excuse didn’t know what to believe . We paid for one meal and left without eating after I refused to pay for both meals we weren’t going to eat. So they took back the food. Took the drinks off the ticket and just charged us for one meal. Worst service of my life! The food wasn’t warm either was cold and super salty. I will never return to this establishment because the staff was incredibly unprofessional. After waiting so long they should have known to check our order regardless of the issue. They could have offered a free appetizer of bread to compensate for our lost time on an error that they were experiencing. Do NOT go during dinner rush . I wish this...
