Me and my boyfriend stayed here from the night of September 13, 2021 until September 15, 2021. This was quite the experience for us. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the front desk worker (Jessica) was just about the sweetest person we've ever met. We were blown away by how kind and professional she was during everything we dealt with. This review is nothing against her or anything, we just want to provide a truly honest review so other people are aware and can be on the lookout.
Here are the good aspects of our stay -
Not a bad price. Awesome location! We could see the Space Needle from our window! Not INSANELY loud. Yes, it is a hotel, so you will hear things. You will hear people open/close doors and walk around. We did not have issues with it being too loud. TV worked and had good channels (including HBO). Breakfast was included and available until 9:30am (we did not have any during our stay, so can't comment on what they had or whether it was good). Very friendly workers. As mentioned before, Jessica was absolutely amazing! I think she is pretty much our new sister at this point lol She was absolutely amazing! We were so thrilled with how kind she was and how well she did handling things. The owner we spoke with when we checked out was also nice. Every employee we encountered was friendly. There was an older man working with Jessica the night we checked in and he was super kind as well. The employees were the best part about this stay! Housekeeping does not bother you if you have the "Do Not Disturb" sign up. Some places they do. Here, they actually respect it. Otherwise, they will come around daily to take out trash, make the bed, etc. Free, simple parking. They had a decent amount of parking. You just receive a parking pass to place in your car after checking in.
Now, unfortunately, we have to address the bad -
Very old, outdated hotel. If you want something that is more modern and has an attractive look in the rooms, this is not it. Me and my boyfriend just needed a place to stay, so we were using the hotel for sleeping and showering only. If we did want to go by looks and overall appeal, we would have gone elsewhere and paid a bit more for a nicer hotel. Always remember - you get what you pay for. Cleanliness was a little iffy. We found pieces of dog kibble on our floor, a random cap that did not belong to us and a random wrapper from something that did not belong to us. The bathroom was overall clean. The bedding was stained. No idea what it was exactly, but it felt rough/hard in texture... kind of like dried nail polish or something. We discovered this after we went to our room for bed. We were too tired to go back and ask for new sheets, so we just covered that spot while we slept. My suggest to ANY hotel would be THROW OUT any stained bedding or towels. Do not just wash them and keep using them. If they cannot be completely cleaned, throw them out and get new. CHARGE the responsible guest for the damages. Don't make other guests use stained towels or bedding. Sheet was see-through in some areas and looked weird/worn. The toilet seat was broke. It was very wobbly. It wanted to shift and move around when using. I get that it is an older looking hotel, but you should definitely be checking those kinds of things in each room and replacing/fixing them as needed. The tub did not drain very quick. The drainer also was difficult. Instead of just pulling it out, you had to "twist" it a certain way to get it to even drain. I did not release the drain was blocked at first and started the shower. When I went to get in, I noticed water had filled the tub. I finally got the drain to cooperate and it slowly drained. We had some pretty chewed up carpet. Again, I know it is an older hotel, but I feel they need to update the carpet. I was charged $104.70 TWICE for our stay.
I feel due to all the hassle, I should get a FULL refund...
Read more0 out of 5…Do NOT stay here. I stayed 4 nights and will never stay in a Wyndam property again. Had I not been carpooling with someone I would have switched hotels. There were issues with safety, cleanliness, and friendliness (or lack thereof). There is an open parking lot on the bottom floor. In order to access the stairs that end up going by the front desk, you must use your room key. However, there is an elevator from the parking lot that goes to the middle of each hall of floors that can be accessed by anyone (no room key) and does not open within sight of the front desk. When we got off the elevator after arriving, the hallway was very dirty. Once in our room it smelled horrible…there was a dirty, wet towel balled up in the bottom of the broken minifridge. We had to move rooms. When making sure there wasn’t anything under the bed when we left the first room, there were food crumbs and pieces of candy that we had not eaten. In both rooms there was hair on the shower walls. During our stay our towels had a brown stain one day and a red stain another day. All four days it smelled like weed or air freshener covering weed when we would walk in the front door. Note, the rooms were nonsmoking rooms. One day a smoke alarm went off in a room as we walked by. We mentioned it to the front desk and were told they didn’t hear or see anything. Most of the front desk employees ignored those that went to the desk until you spoke to get their attention. Donna who worked on the weekend was the only friendly person I encountered during my stay. We got very little sleep during our stay as the walls are paper thin. We could hear the conversations of those in one room beside us and knew what tv show the people on the other side were watching. We heard every movement of the people walking above us. When I booked the hotel it was $98 a night…a complete rip off. When I logged on to the wifi in the hotel, the hotel’s website came up and the rate was $45. I checked and the rate was the same for all 4 nights. I immediately requested an adjustment from the front desk since there was such a discrepancy and I was told to contact the manager. After multiple attempts and the manager not being on the property, I was instructed to email corporate. After more than a month of emails and a lack of response from corporate, I have received $39 in a refund. The emails from the general manager at this location have been unprofessional and hard to read. This was one entire email “K already send folio Pl check there is a refund on you card” (that was the $39). Another was ended rudely with the words “case closed”. I have requested for the owner/manager to call me as corporate told me they owner is the only one who can authorize the refund. The owner will not return my call or respond to my email...
Read moreThis was the worst hotel we had ever stayed at. The beds were hard as a rock! I am a side sleeper and I had a bruise on my hip bone by the end of the week. The beds seemed smaller than the advertised side so it was difficult to stay on the bed. Every night we found bugs in the sheets. There were dead bugs on the floor in the bathroom as well. The tile was cracked on the floor of the bathroom as well. The bathroom door was off and would not close normally. You had to push down hard on the handle and pull in for it to close. One of the sheets had a red stain on it. The hallway door was not insulated and we could hear conversations in the hallway and other people's doors slamming shut. There was a lack of outlets. Luckily I had brought a 10 foot charger cord that I had to plug in on the opposite side of the bed and weave it behind the bed and the wall so it would reach to the side table next to me. The continental breakfast was a joke. There were 2 kinds of oatmeal packets, 3 kinds of cereal, 1-2 gallons of milk, 2-3 flavors of yogurt, bananas (sometimes rotten), an apple and orange juice machine, a coffee machine, and an assortment of prepackaged items like oatmeal cream pies, cinnamon buns, and granola bars. There was one table in the tiny room and chairs were stacked on top of the table so is was not convienient to sit. The front desk staff definitely did not want to be there. They would not answer the phone when you called them. When you walked to their desk they were sitting there on their personal cell phones ignoring everything. If you need to add on a day they will have you check out and then check back in. There is no guarantee that you will get the same room, so plan to have your stuff out of the room and somewhere else until they tell you if you get the same room or not. They will also tell you the person's name that might be checking in to your room. There is no confidentiality. I did not see an elevator so I am not sure if there is one. We just lugged our stuff up and down the stairs. On the last night the key cards randomly stopped working. We went to get them fixed and only 1 of the 2 keys worked after they "fixed it". The only positive thing was the location. It was off the main strip so it was quiet, but close enough to walk to the main road if you needed anything. They also did not charge nightly for parking which...
