Johnny Rockets — Restaurant in Gatlinburg

I’m sure this food would have been great IF I had received it. However, I ordered through Uber Eats and this merchant said that they don’t associate with Uber Eats. As of this review, the merchant still shows up as an available place to order from. We spent $126. My delivery driver showed up to the store to get my order and, after waiting for some time, was told that Johnny Rockets would not be making my food because they cut ties with Uber and no longer had the equipment to accept and make my order. My driver called me and told me what she was being told so I called the manager directly. The manager told me that she spoke with Uber on Monday, June 10th to eliminate their partnership and then the manager proceeded to ask me how I suggested that she stop receiving orders. She then told me I would have to take it up with Uber. So, I canceled the order to get my money back only to be told that the merchant had already accepted my order and I would not receive my money back or my food. I went through 5 different representative that all told me the same: the merchant had already accepted my order so they could not refund my money. I have begged Uber telling them that JR could not have accepted my order because they didn’t have the equipment anymore. Uber says they did accept the order. My driver thought JR just didn’t want to make the food because it was getting close to closing time (an hour before closing). I don’t know who is at fault. This is between JR and Uber. What I do know is that my family was charged $126 and I’m without food, without a refund, and my babies were starving after all was said and done. The resolution could have been easier. Until JR no longer shows up, ask the driver what the order is, make the food so the customer can be taken care of, and JR deals with Uber behind the scenes. This should never affect the customers like it has. I know Gatlinburg is very busy so I know this is happening to a lot of people. After attempting to eat at some other restaurant that had a minimum of 45 minutes of wait we found this little spot. It had zero wait time. We were promptly seated by the friendly hostess. The atmosphere and dacor was concurrent with the theme of the restaurant however it showing it's age. The booth seats were completely collapsed and offered zero support and were very uncomfortable. Your body sinks in a hole and end up eating at a level where the table is much to high for comfort. The menu was good and images showed tall shakes and large burgers. However when received the burgers were very small as was the shake. The quality and taste of the food was very good but the portion depicted on the menu and the reality are two different things. The cost was $123 for 6 burgers and 3 shakes. Of which 2 were kids meals. They automatically include 18% tip on the bill ($148)and although there was a mistake made with our food our waitress was quick to fix the problem and she deserved more than 18% but since they automatically put in the tip she got robbed because I don't carry cash. It's a distasteful act to presume the tip. The final straw is that the bathroom was dirty. Toilet paper all over the floor and wet all around the toilet. The more I write the less stars I want to give. But I will leave at 3 because the food did taste good even though the burger was tiny and the service was good. But the place just needs to get cleaned and remodeled if they want to charge top price for tiny portions. Or at least fit the Damm cushions on the booths. It's just awful...
