I was on the Hunt for a 2021 Gravel Bike by Cannondale. I visited 7 bicycle shops in the Fairfield County looking for this bike. All of the shops told me they were not available until September and they were only interested in selling me bikes they had in stock that were not a gravel bike. I finally decided to go to Greenwich Bicycles after going to the Cannondale Website looking for dealers in the Tri-State Area. So I arrived on a Monday 3 weeks ago and there was a line out in the parking 15 people deep waiting for their turn due to the social distancing, so I jumped in line. They had numerous employees that were servicing the line, so it was my turn and a gentleman by the name of Robert who actually turned out to be the owner greeted me. He asked how can I help you? I followed up with “I am looking for a unique gravel bike from Cannondale and gave him the model. Robert said I think I can order it for you let me check with the warehouse. He came back and told me there were only 9 left in the warehouse, so I asked him to order one for me. Robert then told me that I was in luck that the bike would be here in 4 days. Friday came and I was contacted that the Bike was here and ready for pickup. I was so amazed that it was ready for pickup with their bicycle shop being under siege with all their other customers for repairs or new bike build outs. So I went to Greenwich Bicycles immediately. Robert & Peter (another team member) walked me through the in & outs of this gravel bike since I have not rode a bike in 30 years. After receiving the bike I have returned numerous times with many questions and requests for last minute adjustments to bicycle to fit me personally. Peter gets honorable mention for being a Bike Guru and mentor to me, I ran him ragged for the last 3 weeks with multiple questions for wisdom and he went the extra mile every time to make me smile. I am so glad that I purchased this bike from Robert, his team members are there for you no matter how small your request is. If you are new to biking like me and want white glove service then look no further then Greenwich Bicycle, they know all their customers by first name which is...
Read moreI liked EVERYTHING about Greenwich Bicycles! We moved to South Carolina and needed bicycles. I found one of he last bikes in the country in the size and style I wanted online. No one but Greenwich Bicycles would ship it to me. I was nervous to order something so expensive online but after speaking to GB I felt comfortable. So I also ordered a similar one for my husband. Mine arrived three days later (!), the same day as my husband's. Greenwich Bicycle sent me the invoice, tracking number and also kept track with me. Who does THAT?!Regarding the product: My husband and I each got the Specialized Vado SL 4.0 EQ. My husband got the standard frame; I got a step-through. We were able to take them out for a short ride today and we LOVE them. Quite a bit of torque for a lightweight bike. By the way, EQ just means they are equipped with a kickstand, a back rack, and fenders. One thing I read is that they make significantly more noise then my older and heavier Specialized e-bike. While they do make more noise, I don't think it is significant and I am easily annoyed by noises like that.Regarding the service: We called several bike stores that sell Specialized and no one knew ANYTHING about the bikes. Apparently the breadth of product is too great to bother learning about the different products. The gentleman I spoke to at Greenwich Bicycles knew EVERYTHING and was so fun to work with. My bike had been on the sales floor and was packed impeccably well and arrived in perfect condition. They even updated the firmware. My husbands bike was equally perfect and updated. If you are considering buying from Greenwich Bicycles I would highly recommend that you do. ...
Read moreOn 2 separate occasions I have had an unpleasant experience with mechanic and sales team and I will never patronize this store. For reference, I am a mechanically inclined gear head who has been riding and tinkering with bikes for the last decade. Instance 1, I bring my road bike in to have the steerer tube insert/star nut on my Cervelo evaluated and potentially adjusted/replaced. The mechanic tells me he is too busy to look at my bike even after I called in and explained the concern and was told to swing by with the bike. After waiting for 30-45 minutes, he tells me he doesn’t know what is wrong with it and that I will have to leave it for a few days to have it evaluated. I explain to the mechanic what I think is wrong with it and what I believe the fix could be, to which he responds if you are so smart and know what to do why don’t you do it yourself. Instance 2, I drive over to the bike shop because I need a tire patch kit for a tubeless road tire. I wait at the door for about 10 minutes (Covid times, no one allowed inside) while associates walk back and forth in the store without even acknowledging my existence. Eventually they realize I am there, and I ask for the patch kit which they quickly look for and don’t have. They suggest it’s a terrible solution anyways and send...
