Hampton Carousel — Attraction in Hampton

This is the cutest little gem ever! We took my 2 year old niece here when she was visiting us, and it was a big hit! It’s a very relaxed atmosphere so we were able to sit in a couple rocking chairs and watch the horses go around, and walk around the carousel to see mini museum cases and artwork. In the Courtyard at Virginia Air & Space Center, there is a beautiful statue Commemorating the 400th anniversary of Hampton, Virginia (1610-2010). It was a Gift to the City from the Hampton History Museum Association. It is dedicated to Indian who welcomed the settlers and taught them to live off the land. It is also dedicated to the Settlers who came here in serach of a new life. And it is also dedicated to the African who was not brought here as an immigrant but as labor to build this place...

This is a national treasure. A 1920s carousel that you can ride for one dollar ($1.00 USD) per person. Yes one dollar. Your entire family plus two randos you met at the brewery can ride for less than the cost of a beer.

The thing is authentic. There is no line. The music is played by real automated instruments. This place is legendary.
