Let me just start with these donuts are out of this world. I don't even need to slowly walk into saying it, it's just how it is. When I first was going to go, I called them first and they were sold out. I wasn't even mad, cause it let me know what I was working with here. The next day, I woke up early at my friend's in Hampton and we walked there. (Yeah, it was walking distance….and I wanted my donuts). When I walked in I was greeted by a long line, and some of best sweet scents I'd even had greet my nose. Once I made it to the counter they had glass counters that showed each tray of different types of donuts. By this point I'm drooling okay? They looked so fresh, and the assortment was insane! I love having a large assortment of anything because I can be picky! Lol. Not here though, I immediately had trouble figuring out what NOT to get because I would have went home with everything in the case. Thank God my friend slowed me down lol. I ended up picking 5 donuts....they all looked so fresh, and were carefully put in the box for me. I ended up going to their sister store Baked Bistro to order food there and eat (that's another review...which it was amazing!!!). Once I took the first bite of the cinnamon toast crunch donut I was flabbergasted. I went with that one first because I had to see how week they transferred a cereal box snack into a donut...they blew my mind! The donut was crunchy from the cereal, but once you hit the donut it was utterly soft and delicate. It was insane because it was soft, but still dense in a good way. In a way that you're like "am I eating a hearty donut?" Yes, yes you are. It was utterly delicious, and I gulped it down. Next, I have to speak on maple bacon donut, I'd say this donut should be their iconic flavor because it blew me away. I am not a huge bacon donut person, l've had it a few times here and there…..from now on I will only be getting it here. It was just so good that I remember licking the maple from my fingers lol. This place is truly special, I'd advised to wake up early for this gift from the donut and breakfast Gods. It is absolutely worth it, and I would go as far as to say they have the best donuts on Hampton Roads. I would put my reputation behind it, that's how much confidence I have in this place. I can't wait to go back again. Finishing this review I feel it's about time. These donuts are a love letter...

I want to sing so many praises for this place, but I almost feel like I might hurt your experience by doing so. I feel that the store owner, who I have no idea if I met (and most likely didn't) loves me. He or she or they love you, too. They wait for you to come, to taste what sanctified confectionery amorous is all about.
I discovered this place because someone brought doughnuts to a nurses station (I'm a traveling RN myself). I didn't want to even look at it because I want to lose weight. When I did look at the box there were only the old fashioned plain doughnuts left, but those doughnuts were so visually stunning. They tasted as good as they looked. The stamp on the box was underwhelming--a simple stamp of a small business bakery that called itself Glazed Doughnuts.
I went there today and ordered a dozen. They are expensive ($17-$20). However, they,--just by what you see, and then in what you taste--seem priced right. It is not like you are purchasing common goods at higher prices, but rather like you are a part of a welcomed foodie experience, purchasing well thought out and executed delicacies of pastry masters. All those shows about food and chefs will seem to actually matter. I felt that they should come up with a new, catchy name; even something as simple as GD's. Then I thought, "they have nothing to prove to anyone, and sometimes simple a straightforward is better," especially if you want to make a hugh impression by letting the product speak for itself.
So I've praised this place, forgetting to mention the friendly and positive vibe of the staff, the warm ambiance and homey atmosphere of the storefront, the various selection of doughnuts.

Read moreFirst off I just want to address how bad customer service is nowadays especially when it comes to hiring younger people. I first came in there and I’m hearing about someone’s gossip on the clock right in front of the REGISTER. Unprofessional at its finest. I walked up and the young lady behind the counter spoke to me as if I was interrupting something. Do that on your BREAK. Not when on a paid shift. What happened to structure when it comes to business? Then there was barely any donuts out of any variation. Purely glazed and chocolate with sprinkles. Clearly it’s better to make a preorder because the group of 3 were too busy talking and not doing anything else. Won’t come here again. The donuts were faintly sugary. I asked for chocolate glazed and all I got was 2 chocolate sprinkled and 4 glazed donuts. Care about who you hire and the need for proper management not just filling spots so...
