This is my all-time favorite restaurant in Hampton. I have literally never ordered anything from this place that I have not thoroughly enjoyed. Their house tots are the bomb, I highly recommend starting with those, from there they have a study menu of delicious food and a rotating weekly specials menu that I usually order from because I love trying all of the new things that they create. They also do a weekly specials pizza if you wanna try something unique. They offer specials throughout the week and on Mondays they have six dollar martinis and half price pizza of the week when you dine in, if you’re a on a budget. The prices here are a little bit high, but the food is worth it and the portion sizes are huge. The atmosphere is cozy and I love taking family and friends here when they come to visit. You will not regret visiting, guaranteed. And if you don’t enjoy it, don’t come for me. It’s not my fault that you have bad taste. Enjoy this photo dump of all of the photos. I’ve remembered to take it before I ate the food over the years. But sometimes I eat it too fast because it just is that dang delicious. Run to Venture Kitchen!

I was actually very disappointed that I drove all this way for subpar food. The brunch menu is very limited so I decided to get something off the menu that rotates weekly. I tried the Korean BBQ Pull Pork omelet with a side of grits. First off the grits were hard and flavorless, even the salt and pepper I added to it couldn't make it better. Moving on the omelet, I asked for it without mushrooms, they said that it was already in the mix, so I was like, 'what the hay', I'll just pick them out (because logically thinking they couldn't be that much.) BIG MISTAKE. More than half of the omelet was mushrooms and I could barely taste the pork, the very little that was in there, because the flavor of the mushrooms were so overpowering . I had to use siracha to mask it. I should have sent it back, but I'm normally not one to the so, plus I was super hungry. The service was also kind of annoying considering the fact that I sat at the bar, and it still took forever for me to be served. Needless to say, it's not worth the hype unless you're drinking, because at least the pours are heavy. (unfortunately though, I was not drinking.)

This small restaurant and bar is one of the best places I have dined at. The professional, yet laid back atmosphere is welcoming and comforting. The tables are comfortable and spacious. The service is excellent: Friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and accommodating. But it was, by far, the food that stood out at this place. The infamous in house tots absolutely lived up to their reputation. For my dinner, I had the pizza special, Three Little Jerks, and it was wonderful. The slightly crispy crust pairs well with the mixes of fresh cheeses and quality toppings. When they first gave me my pizza, I thought it was too much for me to eat. I had to stop myself, but it tasted so good, I could have easily eaten the entire thing. The finale was, of course, the dessert. The Brown Butter cake was heaven in my mouth. The caramel gelato mixed with the moist sweet butter cake was a delightful combination. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Every thing about it is 5 star. If you are trying to find a place to eat go to this restaurant and enjoy.

We chose this place from reviews stating it had vegan options. Let me update their current vegan option menu: Salad and breadsticks The breadsticks are not typical boring sticks of bread but creative come out on a whole round pizza pan, sliced into sticks and have a side of the season oil mixture to dip them in. My kid asked for a side of marinara and was brought an entire small piping hot honey pot of marinara which there was no extra charge for. They do offer tator tots, again not the boring bagged eat your tots Tina type but homemade using mashed potatoes squared and fried BUT they are fried with everything else so if you're a militant vegan you won't eat these. Even though it was late, we were starving and bummed when told they didn't have the other vegan options previous reviewers stated, the entire staff especially our waitress was super nice, accommodating and never once got an attitude or eye rolled about our questions or tree bark eating diet choices. They had the ufc fight on which my kid was wanting to watch anyways so we stayed for a good while, never rushed and never made to feel like we weren't welcomed. They do have a bar so if you want a place to try with the family and get a drink or 3 after a long day of your screaming kids but can't get to the bar alone without them then you could definitely bring them all here using those parenthood tricks by sitting at a booth close enough to the bar, sit on the outside of the seat, put your hand up so you can't see your family, tune them out while watching the sports tv and angel your body just a tad so you can semi feel you're sitting at the bar while really not being at the bar. It's also in old downtown Hampton so it's a neato little spot to walk around checking out old graveyards and buildings if that's your...

Yesterday, my sisters treated me to Brunch for my birthday at Venture, where I had previously eaten at for lunch and had fond memories of (pre-pandemic). Unfortunately, it's changed, and not necessarily for the better in my view. I remember it as being a farm-to-table gem, where you could find innovative and healthy options as a regular thing. Maybe you still can achieve those but just not at Brunch on a Sunday. I first thought I'd get the Cherries Jubilee French Toast; but upon finding out from our server that the cherries were going to be the consistency of cherry pie filling I searched for something I hoped would be healthy. I picked from the regular Brunch menu the King's Plate because I figured the root vegetable hash would offer some tasty and relatively healthy ingredients. The flavors of the root vegetables were sadly overpowered by the excessive garlic in the heavy sausage gravy. The homemade biscuit was a perfect accompaniment, however. It just would've been nice to have some fresh fruit served with it. There was nothing on the regular or particular Sunday Brunch specials menu to recommend it for a 2nd try. I may give regular lunch another try. Or I may go somewhere I'm more confident of getting a healthy, fresh, reasonably priced meal. The service was great, and as always, I tipped our server of her effort, not my satisfaction with the food. There's great potential at Venture, and I always remembered it as being a great destination restaurant- one you'll drive more than the usual miles to get to- but it needs some work to recreate a more universally...

My friends and I went here tonight for dinner because we’ve had it before and it was fantastic. Well the waitress we had ignored one of my friends when she tried to order drinks and then she came out with plates and our appetizers. One of the plates she brought out had grease on it and our appetizer didn’t have the sauce it normally comes out with. We then order our food and we got more drinks. She brought the food out and went to go get the drinks, she came back to our table and hit another cup on the table that caused her to spill beer onto the food I was eating. It wasn’t a big problem to me because i’ve worked in the restaurant business so i asked nicely for another pizza since I had beer spilt all over my pizza, at first it seemed like she wasn’t going to offer but then I backed away from the food and thats when she offered. Multiple times we asked her for refills and she forgot to refill our drinks. We then paid and gave a 20-30% tip but it was an awful experience with this waitress, unfortunately I will never eat here again because of the experience we had tonight. We then go to leave but one of our friends had to use the bathroom and we hear the waitress yelling and cussing about us saying how she expected a $20 tip from each check and that I hit her elbow and that’s what caused the drink to spill on my pizza. We were as polite as any customer should have been, but we received attitude and ignorance from...
