I recently had the pleasure of joining one of their turtle snorkeling trips, and it was, without a doubt, one of the most memorable adventures of my Hawaiian vacation.

From the moment we boarded the boat, the crew made it clear that this wasn’t just a tour—it was an experience. The staff were friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the local marine life, providing a fun and informative briefing before we hit the water. They ensured everyone was properly outfitted with high-quality snorkeling gear and made sure we were comfortable and confident before diving in.

The location itself was absolutely stunning. We headed to a secluded, clear-water spot famous for its sea turtle population, and as soon as we entered the water, we were greeted by the sight of several sea turtles gracefully gliding through the coral reefs. The visibility underwater was fantastic, giving us a front-row seat to see these majestic creatures up close. The turtles, unfazed by our presence, swam calmly around us, offering plenty of opportunities for photos and awe-inspiring moments.

Beyond the turtles, the reef was teeming with colorful fish, rays, and other marine life, making the snorkeling even more exciting. The crew made sure to point out interesting sea creatures and share their knowledge of the ecosystem, which really added to the experience.

Charter Oahu’s small-group approach made the experience feel personal and intimate, and the crew’s passion for marine conservation was evident throughout the trip. They emphasized respectful snorkeling practices, ensuring that we admired the turtles without disturbing their natural habitat.

One of the best turtle snorkeling tour ever. It is a small locally owned and employed tour company with super friendly and professional tour guides and photographer. I took my parents with me for the first family vacation in 12 years to Oahu. I know for sure that they would love to swim with turtles and other sea creatures, but they won't be able to handle anything above beginner level due to their age and lack of experiences. I booked Charter Oahu after a local friend recommended me and everything was beyond my expectation. Our tour guides Willow and Cam were super friendly and went every step above and beyond through and through: they both spent extra time with my mom who was nervous with light language barrier to ease her mood and teach her how to breath; my face didn't really fit the first two sets of masks, but no one gave up and kept offering me other pairs along with tips; Angelina, the photographer was so skillful and cheerful, we all think she personally knows every turtle and fish we came along. We also got a set of amazing photos and video for my family's special time. My dad won't stop going through them. We got extra lucky to met four groups of dolphin on the way out, and tasted some fresh and local grown pineapples on the way back. It's like double cherry's on the top. Okay so lots to say. Overall experience with charter oahu and staff is 10/10 the actual experience was something else lol. Getting to the location was a little confusing if you’ve never been to a boat dock. Me and my group found hourly paid parking and paid through an app and walked over to the dock. They have you sign a waiver before getting on the boat. Staff in general was super knowledgeable and extremely nice. They tell you how to use the snorkel equipment, flotation devices, and flippers. You also have the chance to buy pictures and videos of the experience which is nice. Once on the boat and getting to the turtle watching area be aware there’s other tour groups as well and A LOT OF THEM. Word of advice is make sure you’re aware of your surroundings because a lot of people will bump into you since they’re looking into the water for the turtles. other than that, one of the crew members will go around and take pictures and videos for you while swimming and will record the turtles as well.

In general the services of Charter Oahu is 10/10 super sweet girls that take care of their group. They gave us drinks and snacks too! One of the staff members even called out a different tour group since they were bugging the turtles and they even touched it which is illegal 💀 If you want to take a snorkel tour I would definitely recommend booking...
