Waterfall Island — Attraction in Honolulu

Several issues….we were told by the hotel staff that the island was the birthplace of Don Ho. We arrived early for the buffet, but were told it was only for tourists from the state of Utah. There were no tourists from Utah there. We were looking forward to buying a Tiny Bubbles CD in the gift shop, but that wasn’t possible due to the clog dancing exhibition going on around the lagoon. All in all, just remember that this attraction is for kids as well. The petting zoo next door (with Komodo Dragons)...

Not sure about Allen Kennedy’s review but we had a great time with Don Ho on Waterfall Island. It’s not only his birthplace, but where he still lives today. Knock 3 times on the middle palm tree and he will appear and personally sign your Tiny Bubbles CD for you! A truly mystical place! Next stop Utah for the annual Clog...

One of Waikiki’s best kept secrets. On the island near the centre there is a viewing platform that allows for the best photos of the lagoon. I won’t post any here so not to give away the pure awesomeness of this hidden spot. Tip: look for the initials RG on the 2nd tallest palm tree and your 7 steps north of the spot....
