Castle Ilikai Tower — Hotel in Honolulu

Our room was an Air BnB so there was no hotel service. The hotel was beautiful. It was ok. The master bedroom was very nice with accommodating bath. The kitchen was sufficient although there were no pot holders to get items out of the oven. The refrigerator was messed up and the doors crashed together. The extra bedroom was ok with attached 2nd bathroom. This bedroom fits 3 people but it is snug. There is a closet and a queen bed next to a twin bed and one end table. You can put your clothes in the closet but otherwise there is no room for your suitcases or barely room to walk around. The first day of our visit our window unit air conditioner went out in that room so I slept in the sofa. We notified the host but she was not able to find a repair person until the next day. The main entry was the living room, dining room, a bar and kitchen and that was all nice. We had a balcony that had an amazing view of the ocean and the area. It was perfect weather to sit on the balcony. On Friday we sat out there to watch the Fireworks show that was a perfect view from our room. On Thursday there was a Hula show downstairs. Today was the Honolulu Marathon, and our organization, the Hawaii Recreation and Parks Society, served water to the participants. 🙌!! It is an humble feeling to serve water to the runners and walkers....young and old...men, women, and children.

Our station is in front of the Ilikai, and they are kind enough to let us use their restrooms!! No portable potties for us!!!

Our room is spacious and clean with a comfortable bed . Housekeepers are friendly and do a great job. Good location, love the exceptionally clean pool area. In a good area for everything we wanted to access. We have walked everywhere except for our excursions. Happy with our choice of hotels.
