Houston's First Baptist Church - Downtown — Attraction in Houston

This is the first church I have been a member too. I feel at home here and I chose to be baptized at the downtown campus on october the 8th. I truly love Jesus my lord and savior, the Father god of the heavens and the Holy Ghost that guides and resides in each of us. Pastor: Greg Matte and the entire worship team along with all the volunteers that attend and come together as a church family are truly amazing. Through their strength, hope and compassion, I have come to know Jesus truly as my savior. I understand more about the messiah and understand the significance of Jesus paying for our sins. Jesus our king stands for truth, the light and the way to the father. Jesus gave up his life for us all so we may be forgiven and have a relationship with the father. I have come to enjoy serving alongside all of the members of Houston's First Baptist church. Truly blessed to be a part of this family and I would do anything for anyone in the church, out of the church or a fellow brother or sister in christ. Truly look forward to sunday mornings, where we sing and worship and learn the word. I also love Bible study with Mr. Ross Stephenson and the midlink class I attend to learn New Testament Greek with Ramsey Rabie to learn how to read, write, and speak greek. I am looking forward to The new class I enrolled in also called "PLACE" which will help me to find my place to best serve God, Jesus, Holy spirit and my home church Houston's First Baptist. Outstanding teaching from the senior Pastor Greg Matte. You can tell his preparation comes not just from years of studying God's word but also years of an authentic relationship with the Lord. I get a sense of this as well from the downtown campus Pastor Leon Brooks, where I currently attend. Very welcoming and friendly Minister such as Peter Lee and the assistant Raul Caban, who leads the mens bible study have helped me to pursue the Lord more. I've only been visiting the downtown campus since Easter of this year, however I've really grown to enjoy eating of the solid spiritual word that is being delivered here.
