. My husband and I had literally 3 weeks to plan for our wedding. In that time frame, I not only had to organize everything that comes with wedding planning, but I also had to find a ring.

I'm an extremely extremely picky person and very indecisive (a deadly combo). I always imagined designing my own wedding ring but I thought it wouldn't be possible in the given time frame. So I looked around for settings and hoped I would like one. I must have gone to a half a dozen ring shops in Houston multiple times, however, I just couldn't find anything I liked. So then I decided I would get a simple band and find the ring later.

I went to Maharaja Jewelers and Aziz was sooo helpful. He gave me the confidence that I could design my dream ring and it would be ready in time for the wedding. I must have Pinterest 10 dozen designs and finally came up with something I liked. Aziz and his staff were very very patient with me. He gave me the most honest recommendations and we must have revised the design about 3-4 times. He even worked on it while he was on vacation with his wife to the point where he was replying to my texts while his plane was ready to take off to come back to Houston!! Thats the best coustomer service I've ever seen!

Anyway, I still wasn't convinced the ring would look like my dream ring so when he got back he showed me the wax up and I loved it! But being the picky person I am, I wasn't sold on the prongs because I felt they were too thick. I texted him later that night around 11pm about it and he assured that they would look proportionate once the diamond was set. So I took a deep breath and trusted him and approved the design. Keep in mind at this point I now had 1 week left.

When the ring finally came in (3 days before the wedding) I absolutely LOVED it! It was so sparkly and shiny and exactly what I wanted! The fit was so comfortable and the band didn't feel bulky at all.

Until this day, I don't know how Aziz did it, but he managed to not only help me design my dream ring, but actually had it ready in time when I thought it would be impossible.

I've gotten so many complements on it and it really makes me feel good because the design is a piece of my personality and it really radiates through the ring.

In all seriousness, I came to Aziz via a referral but also did my research around town (and the country). I must say, Aziz was the best! Outstanding personal attention, excellent craftsmanship, high quality products, and competitive pricing...what else could a customer want? He was never pushy in selling, and always gave good advice (even if it meant telling me certain designs would look ugly!). I loved his honesty and transparency. While I have a tendency to be an anxious consumer when it comes to large purchases, Aziz responded to all my calls and texts with ease and in a timely fashion...I would pester him late in the evening, and he always responded with grace. Mind you, my decision took weeks if not months, and Aziz was always there. My fiancé was thrilled with her engagement ring (she obviously said YES, but I think she was saying YES to the ring brilliance, not me lol). Because she was so happy (as was I) with the final product, we ended up buying BOTH of our wedding bands from him and my parents bought her a mangalsutra (necklace with diamonds). I trust Aziz, his wife Sumaya, and his staff (Roma, etc). All of them have been very pleasant, warm, and welcoming -- they feel like family now. Advice to anyone out there reading this review: before you make a purchase anywhere else, STOP, and visit Maharaja first. You will NOT be disappointed and he will outshine any competitors in town. This will be a lengthy review of my experience. This was my second experience purchasing jewelry for my girlfriend but first time at the magnitude of an engagement set. I have been looking for quite some time now but always ran into that annoying sales person that was trying to sell you a dream, so I would always leave with a bad taste. Upon walking into Maharaja Jewelers I really felt like family. I worked with one person the entire time, which I enjoyed. It made me feel like my business was welcomed and they cared just as much about the special occasion as I did. I would often wait for the sales pitch or to be talked into purchasing something that was out of my price range but that never happened. My sales rep just simple said, what is that you want; as well as answered and gave me advise as it was asked. I went the option of getting a custom ring made. I got the phone call saying it was ready to be picked up. I wont sit here and tell a lie but I was quite scared to see the finished product. Once I got my ring set I was amazed at the craftsmanship and quality of the work. The setting was just beautiful.
