They have camera's all over the store. When I asked Bill to look at the camera's to prove he never gave me the stones. His reply was that the camera over the counter does not work.
This places owes me well over $2000 in diamonds but they steal from their costumers. When I called the owner down in south park and explained what happened. He was rude and didn't care a bit about how I was robbed blind by them. they are thieves. beware when dealing with this establishment. They steal from their customers.
My experience with brown jewelers (Northcross Huntersville NC) was great for a long time. I liked Bill a lot. We would bring our watches have them repaired, battery changed etc. Since I moved here from Chicago Brownlee Jewelers was our place. My husband purchased some beautiful things from Brownlee. Until they literary stole my diamonds. I brought in 5 old rings to pawn. one ring had at least a 3/4 carrot amethyst. another well over 2 carrots of diamonds. the others all had diamonds too. When I brought them to Bill he gave me the value of the gold weight only and never said anything about the diamond value. I did not know to ask about the stones. I thought the value he gave me included the stones. I am not a jeweler and always looked to Bill be to honest. needless to say Bill gave me the value of the weight of the gold and never gave me the stones. He should have popped out the stones weighted the metals only. When I realized this months later I went back to ask about all the stones of course he said he gave them to me. If he had given them to me I surely would have used Bill/Brownlee to do something with the stones. after all they were my jewelry people. they offered to give me a loose amethyst. I refused. If you choose to use this jeweler I would proceed with extreme caution. watch everything. They are not honest and they stole from me. I was devastated by this after I realized what had happened. They were absolutely mean about what had happened and didn't care either way. Trust is a big deal when it comes to our precious things. I trusted this company and they hurt me bad and stole from me. BE CAREFULL THEY WILL DO IT TO YOU TOO! I will be checking to make sure this review does not get taken down. Everyone walking in to that establishment should be aware of their tactics and wrong doings. I am now using another jeweler I mentioned to them what happened and the owner said he hears a lot of complaints from customers who have been wronged by then and now...
Read moreI went here seeking a wedding band of a certain style, and they had one very similar to what I was looking for. I asked for a slight deviation from that design and was met with a very vague unsure "answer." I then had to ask if it was possible to have it ordered in the style I wanted (because he did not suggest a solution), to which the employee replied "I would have to check." He took my info and did not call me back for several days, so I called back to follow up. The woman who answered was nice, I said "I am sure he has just been busy but wanted to follow up!" The woman on the phone replied "No, not really" which I found an odd response basically letting me know that the employee had just forgotten to follow up with me. She attempted to get that employee on the phone but he was busy. So, they took my info down again and said he would call me back. He did call me back and leave me a voicemail letting me know that band could not be ordered in that style. This was a surprise to me considering they are a jewelry supplier and the design I wanted was the exact same design, but with diamonds halfway down as opposed to 3/4 of the way down. I called Falls Jewelers in Concord and within minutes they had located the exact band I wanted with a supplier of theirs, ordered it for me to try on with no obligation. Overall, the customer service really disappointed me here. The employees were nice but just ultimately did not seem knowledgable when it came down to it, and when making an expensive purchase I feel that...
Read moreLet me start by saying that my father has used Brownlee before and has had nothing but good things to say; I, however, did not have a good experience. I got married in February of last year and purchased my husbands ring from Brownlee. Because I am an indecisive person and wanted my husbands ring to be perfect, it took me a little while to decide which one to get. The buying experience went smoothly and the store was very helpful. When I went to pick up the ring however, it was the wrong ring. I was a little disappointed because I wouldn't be able to get the correct ring in time. I do understand though that mistakes happen. The thing that really bothered me was the fact that one of the gentlemen working there tried to convince me that the ring was in fact the correct ring. There is no way he couldn't tell the difference between the ring I ordered and the ring I was given. He then proceeded to tell me that I should just use this ring and see if my husband noticed it was different and if he liked it. I assured them that I would be back after our wedding to switch it out. I was so frustrated.
Because my husband and I are both sentimental, we decided to keep the mistake ring because he wanted to be able to wear it on the honeymoon and keep the ring that we were married with.
Again, not upset with the company for the mistake, just upset that he wouldn't own up to the mistake and tried to convince me otherwise even though the difference was obvious. I have attached a picture of the ring I ordered and the ring...
