Place is so unorganized and it’s obvious that the manager not the supervisor cares. I’ve seen one of the employees there hanging clothes anywhere like if it doesn’t matter. When I want to buy size 12 months I should be able to go to a certain area where that specific size is at not look all over the girls isle because it’s all mixed up . Even the lady who was hanging the clothes carelessly admittedly said that all the sizes are mixed up! You couldn’t tell what was on sell! Was I at Ross or jcpenny ? Because it sure doesn’t look like a jcpenny when you walk in. I will be taking pictures next time just to show you that I’m not just being a dramatic person. I don’t know who would have a satisfying shopping experience looking through everything to find what you want. I couldn’t do it . There’s no reason for me to search through everything for a specific size! Another issue with the girls isle is that the clothes that are on sell are mixed with everything as...
Read moreThis is Old School shopping, the way I used to shop when I was kid tagging along with my mom at the old giant department stores downtown L.A., all gone now 😔. The store seems very old, like a relic from a different age. I don't think my mom and me ever shopped here much except once or twice, we mostly shopped in L.A., but it was nice to be in a store again stacked high instead of wide Iike Walmart, where you have to do a lot of walking. This location is on the small side, no escalators and only two elevators, but the store has a pretty good selection and I had no problem finding what I was looking for. The Men's Department is down a quick flight of stairs as you come in and occupies the entire basement. Women's Department is on the first floor and mezzanine. 3rd floor is stuff for the home and shoes are on the 4th floor. Have fun exploring this place which is unfortunately on the endangered species list. Enjoy it while we...
Read moreThe store is still open and serving the community. A good thing. And they have 501's. However it is a textbook example of lack Equity. A community facing economic discrimination. Because it is a low income area JC Penney proudly presents a dilapidated store. A junky store in this condition would not be tolerated or patronized in Arcadia, Brea, Lakewood, etc etc etc. The walls are patched and not repainted. The stairs are dirty. The POS stations are from the 60's. The building could easily be brought up to normal JCP standards. I tend to lean to the right, however, I cannot deny this pathetic, screaming example of inequity. Make it bright, cheery, and clean. The hardworking people of Huntington Park deserve a...
