Pretty terrible experience. I made a reservation for me and 2 friends to get our nails done together and we were seated as far apart as we could be. The nail tech I requested when I made my reservation was not who I had. The person that did my nails had very little attention to detail which resulted in a few of my nails being shaped crooked, but that was not the worst part. I take really good care of my cuticles, I keep them healthy and moisturized and maintained. She used the electric buffer to buff my cuticles all the way off and made me bleed in 2 places! Without any sort of apology or recognition to the fact that my cuticles are now ragged and bleeding in 2 places. Once she was finished polishing and applying the matte finish, she told me to go wash my hands without soap. I sat back down and she told me I was finished and started prepping her station for the next customer. The attached photos will show how much polish and glue and gunk was left on and under my nails at the end of this appointment, and you will see my inflamed cuticles from where they were bleeding. Also, at the beginning of the manicure she asked me what shape I wanted, I said almond. Then I was charged extra because “I got a shape.” All nails have to be shaped in a manicure, i don’t understand how that is extra. Having them shaped is standard and I didn’t request a strange shape, almond is pretty standard. If a shape is not specified, then what would the nails look like? And if certain shapes are extra that should be listed on your price sheets that are posted everywhere. All in all it feels like I got charged $65 for crooked nails and battered cuticles. I normally would not post a review like this, so initially I emailed the contact on their website so they could handle it without it affecting their rating, but was offered nothing but a “sorry we’ll have her do better next time” type of email. With how negative the experience was, I would expect at least a partial refund or credit towards the next manicure. No one should leave a nail salon with bloody cuticles and no restitution.

DO NOT BE FOOLED! My coworker recommended this place right before my trip. I thought because the aesthetic was nice that maybe they do a better job. Absolutely not. I’m just going to place these photos right here. Personally, it’s annoying to me when staff states “everybody likes it this way”, when I’m specifically telling them how I personally like something. Why am I being bullied at nail salons and having go back-and-forth about a service that I’m paying for?! Completely unprofessional. The nail salon is supposed to be a relaxing experience. The technician should just do what the customers asking for the service that they are paying for. Instead, the staff will become hostile and passive aggressive. My cuticles were not attended to AT ALL. They literally removed my previous nails, buffed and started applying new nails on top, the same for my toes. My second toe on my right foot had a hangnail and the staff member proceeded to paint over it and left it. When he finished the service I told him to cut it and he said no it would make it shorter(picture in the shop). I was literally baffled that he expected me to walk out like that. It took back-and-forth to get him to cut it. You can apparently see the uneven coloring on my toes, cuticles a mess, so many things, different shapes, etc. etc. Just look at the uneveness of the ombre and the cuticles on my left hand. These nails will grow out horrendous. And the cherry on top was the nail tech having the audacity to ask for a tip after performing this type of work and making the customer feel uncomfortable for pointing out areas needing correction. I work hard for my money and don’t enjoy throwing it away to less than service. FYI if you’re looking for quality nails Madam Beaute nail shop may not have the “aesthetic” but their nails are by far better.

Edit: Adjust review rating because the owner of the business personally reached out to explain and apologize for the situation. I understand mistakes happen and I appreciate the attention to customer happiness. I will give them another try at a later date for a standard manicure. This afternoon I had an appointment set here for 4PM. Upon arrival I was asked to check in. I did so and sat down. I was then told that it would be 10-15 minutes till they could get me in because only one tech does builder gel. No worries. Eventually 45 minutes later I told them that it was fine I would get acrylic instead because it was nearing 5 PM. I was sat down and asked for any references which I provided. As the tech began fitting the tips two things happened. I could clearly see that one hand had bubbles all over the glue line and there were noticeable gaps that caused the natural nail line and the tip to look crazy jagged. The other thing was that 8 out of my nails had skin actively stuck via glue to all sides of the nail. This is when, during the shaping process, the tech proceeded to jab her nails between my skin/under my natural nail and the nail which was glued to attempt to pry them apart. That’s right, not tools, not a file, just her nail stabbing into my skin/under my natural nail to get it separated from the nail on all sides on 8 of them. This happened over and over as she found more areas that were glued together. During this entire process there was also no cuticle care (cuticles not pushed back, no trimming) no hand washing until I got up to pay, no moisture added to the cuticles at all.

If i could leave no stars I would. I called this nail shop and asked the price of a gel manicure. They quoted me 40$ i asked about a full set gel manicure they also said 40$ to which i replied “well if the price is the same put me down for a full set” my appt was booked and i showed up. I wanted a coffin shape, medium length. The owner kept suggesting polishes and dips, he didnt mention anything in regards to up-charges. I had to advise the technician multiple times i wanted coffin shape. She just replied “yeah yeah, uhuh” before she started to paint my nails she said its 95$ to which i responded im not paying 95$ why is it that much? She then broke down the price saying length/nail shape/and even color changed the price. I argued that still didnt come up to 95$ I let her know about the 40$ quote and let her know id do regular polish. The owner walked over and tried to show me the menu which i responded the girl on the phone told me one thing and u show me the menu she couldve looked at to provide the accurate price. I let him know i would pay for my nails but they quoted me one thing and proceed to add on things to get me to pay more. All of the staff started to speak in the natural language and the nail tech was visibly upset. She made me pay for my nails before she even started to paint them which i told the owner that was extremely rude when all i argued was the price they quoted me over the phone. They continued to argue with me the entire time i waited for my nails to dry to which i kept reminding the owner i told him i would pay for my nails and that I was quoted one thing over the phone and charged another BEFORE she even finished my nails. I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable bc i questioned the price of my nails. My nails were not coffin shaped or long. I didnt get Gel and still paid more than the quoted price even after a 10$ discount. I want to stress that The price of the nails was not the issue it was how the staff handled it and made me feel worse by shoving their menu in my face repeatedly and speaking in their language instead of speaking to me directly like I...

I would give this place 20 out of 5 stars if I could. I am not local. I was over visiting Indianapolis yesterday from 90 minutes away; but if I lived here, this would be my permanent salon of choice in the Indianapolis area. I can not rate it highly enough. I did a quick Google search and chose Pur based on a few good reviews (this is a newer establishment so they don't have as many). What a fantastic choice.

First of all, the atmosphere was beautiful and exceptionally clean (including the bathrooms). I was greeted very warmly and I was well attended to. Tim took great care to be gentle and thorough with my dip manicure. I am a super nice person, but will freely admit that I am probably a nail tech's worst nightmare. I am very picky and have years of experience doing nails myself, and I know exactly the end result I want. Many techs seem irritated when you mention things you see to them. Not Tim. He listened to me and did each thing I asked of him. He was friendly and sweet. They used high quality products, and the end result was stunning.

I liked the experience so well that I decided I wanted to stay for a pedicure. However, it was almost closing time for them. They insisted that did not matter and that I was more than welcome to stay and they would take care of me. Tim made me a delicious hot tea while Benji started on my pedicure. I thought maybe he would rush, but that simply was not the case. He took great care with painting and gave a wonderful massage. It seriously was the best pedicure I have ever had, and the best paint job. It was almost a full 45 minutes after closing time when we finished up, and it didn't seem to bother anyone one bit. In fact, another lady had come in even later than me....they moved a station over and did a "mobile" mani and a pedi on her at the same time, so she could have both! They seemed genuinely pleased that I was so happy (I expressed it to them all several times).

I will make the drive again for this place, it was THAT worth it. Go visit Pur if you're looking for an exceptional experience. You...
