Overview; helpful customer service, clean store, no help in the self checkout area. Honestly if it weren’t for the self checkout this whole store would have been above and beyond 5 stars. Oh... and they were the ONLY store in the area that already had swimwear out and available.
Well... The store itself set up nice, everything was clean, the few employees I got the chance of speaking with to ask for help were extremely helpful. But... Spent literally almost 15 minutes at the self check out kiosk, waiting for somebody to come assist me, because I had pressed the help button due to an item not having a scannable barcode on it.
The two employees that were working the cash register’s away for me didn’t acknowledge me, but I presume it’s because they have their own thing to do while they had a register to run.. whoever was responsible (normally a service attendant) for assistance in the self checkout area... they were NOT helpful. Best part was, the wife baby and I were only in the area for a night to stay in a hotel and I simply went to target to buy some swimming clothes for the wife baby and I.
Funny enough i actually went to Walmart the night before but they had no clue if they had any and said they knew target had swimwear out already (A] HUGE plus for target in my book!! B] ONLY place that had what I needed, C] ONLY place that had their summer line out, AND D] a competitor sent me to them 🤷♂️), so we weren’t able to swim the night we got there & we figured I would just go get swim wear in the morning at target.
Overall the only reason I rated this four stars instead of five is... to be completely home with you... it is highly unprofessional to not have anyone watching the self check out area. God rest his soul, but, it’s Situations like this that Used to frustrate my grandfather really badly. It was already hard enough to adjust to the new layout of many stores, but when you go to self check out, for some people it is their first time and I’m sorry but it will be the future eventually. I literally could’ve walked right out the door with my products, But after 15 minutes in line and people giving up me dirty looks because they wouldn’t use the self check out I’m standing out, I decided to pay for the two items that would scan, and then I placed the shirt that would not scan off to the side and after I checked out, I left.
By the way;
-i pressed the help button multiple times. Canceled it, restarted it, about 5-6 times. (I was hoping that when I press the button and it set an alert to someone’s walkie-talkie system or some register somewhere- clearly it doesn’t.) [CON]
-other than being IGNORED at self checkout, I had a very pleasant experience and everyone who helped me on the floor were exceedingly helpful. [PRO]
-I chose self checkout because the other few lines that were open were very long. No one rushed to open any more lines during the whole 15 minutes I spent at self checkout despite having several employees stocking shelves/product. (Although Maybe none were trained on register?) usually it is customary to open “overflow” registers to help alleviate the back flow of customers. [CON]
first place in the entire area to have their swimwear available and on the shelves [HUGE PRO]
-VERY clean store. Seriously, it looked like they had a 24/7 roomba cleaning the place, even the carpets looked immaculate [PRO]
I’ll be back in probably a month or so to revisit the hotel.. would love to stop back in and mystery shop the self checkout. This area is a must. Keep up the amazing...
Read morePreviously rated a 4. After a negative customer service experience at Christmas time, the only reason the rating is a 2 is because of the food, otherwise it would be a 1. Waited an exorbitant amount of time in the drive thru, because of the volume of customers inside and out. Service at speaker and window was excellent. Parked to check the order. Spent about $35. Was shorted a 6 piece nugget. Walked in to get it, was told not without a receipt. Had to walk back to the car to get the receipt and then present the receipt for a detailed inspection to prove I wasn't trying to steal a 6 piece nugget like I was lying on an extremely cold, very busy shopping night just before Christmas. Plus, just because I had a receipt doesn't prove I was shorted a 6 piece! Unbelievable after a long shopping day. Will not return to this location. Plenty of other fast-food chicken and many, many other restaurants in the area that treat you like a customer, not a thief. Was the loss of a family as a customer worth 6 nuggets to...
