This review is specifically for Allison. Be careful everyone she is far from competent to be hair dresser, Rude, ridicule customer, no time management. If you decide to go here do NOT go to Allison! I never been to this hair salon and as I was in St. John area, I called asked for last minute Wash and Hair blow dry. Shoulder length Straight hair. They asked me to come 2pm which is in 2 h from when I called.
I came in 1.50pm and during checked in I saw time allocated was 55 mins. I have shoulder long hair. When I arrived at 1:50pm, Allison greeted me, said with the length of my hair she will charged me for long hair and I do not mind at all and said ok. I told her, it is only wash blow-dry and I need to go at 3pm She washed my hair, so slow I already realized. She does not have the coat and gave a wet coat and said better than nothing. I am responded it with saying “ It is fine, at least it smells good and keep me cool with weather outside” She does not have her own stuff, during blow dry she keeps running around trying to steal from other techs their stuff. 1h in my hair is not even half done and she is panicking as other customer came and she told that other customer she cant make it. But other tech agreed to take that over as the other customer was so upset, which I can totally understand. I reminded Allison, that I need to go at 3pm and she started became nasty and unprofessional. She said a. Blaming my hair that soaked in water so much make it longer to dry. I replied, that all hair will soaked in wet when it gets water, other customer and other techs next to me laughed and rolled their eyes with me as Allison reason sound too crazy b. Usually Hair Blow dry could take up to 3h even for short hair. Never in my entire life I had done Blow dry for 3h with the length my hair, shoulder length. I told her, that she could refused my service when I checked in when she saw my hair and it could take her 3hours. c. She tried to just blow dry top of my hair and it looks terrible. While saying really unpleasant word in the last 5 mins trying to dry up not blow dry my hair, she said because of me other customer has to go to other tech, my hair is too wet and other stuff I cant understand. d. Then I told her, you know that it looks like uneven? But she said “ Okay you finished, you are being disrespectful". Then that is time, I told her all that I was trying to be nice all the time. Not even a single time I was frustated at all,while she has been totally unproffesional the whole time. She told me I don’t need to pay, of course I wont too ! But, now I lost 1h15mins for nothing. First of all, if you are in any kind of a time crunch, and your hair is overly porous or has any kind of issues, Ali explains and communicates effectively the way that she always does because I have watched her in action. Many times, Customers do not book for the proper service because they don’t read the description and yes, there is an additional charge if your hair goes even just a tiny bit beyond the shoulders so be prepared for that. All of the services are on the website and if there are any questions, you can always call the salon. Ali Is one of the most genuine, kind, and talented professionals I have ever met. I am flabbergasted at that poor review. I know for a fact that it would take a lot for her to have someone leave so maybe whoever posted that review should check their attitude. Let the salon know ahead of time if you have any kind of a timing issue. It would be propitious not to make an appointment when you have a time crunch, because of variables that could happen- that’s just common sense. Maybe try being a little more proactive than reactive and realize that everyone is human, including you. Scheduled an appointment days in advance to get my hair cut and styled for me and my husband. Based on our schedule we had to take the last slot on a Thursday evening. I was returning to a stylist I had used many times before and she had done a great job. This time however it was... different. For starters, I was called at 3pm day of told that I would need to be moved to a new stylist, when I inquired of the skill level of the stylist I was being moved to I was not given an answer. I checked to see if my other preferred stylist at a different location was available, but they were booked for the day so I was forced to keep the appointment at this location as I needed my hair done for an event today. We got there and felt awkward from the time it started. The stylist I had been moved to told me wait for the one I had requested, I assume out of nervousness due to my questions earlier, while she did my husband's hair.
