A decent mall with lots of in-style stores that carry a plethora of fashionable items. From the old to the young, there's something here for everyone! I'm pretty impressed with the selection of stores available here. I could spend all day shopping, and I'm not one who likes to hang out in malls and stores often. One thing I didn't like were the bathrooms, they weren't as clean as they should've been, but I won't dock too many points for that because I'm sure it's hard to keep them all clean during the holiday season with thousands of shoppers coming through there. The food court is also super crowded. That's why I recommend eating when it's not meal-time such as before or after lunch, or else you'll end up standing in long lines and fighting for a table to eat at. Also, during the rush times the employees speed through trying to get the customers in and out of there as fast as possible. While zipping through customers has some pros to it such as shorter wait times, it can also cause mistakes to happen where they end up screwing up your food order. Other than those few issues I mentioned, I really think this is a great place to shop! I love how spacious it is, and the sky lighting brings sunshine in making it feel even more open and airy. I also think it's adorable how they decorate it for the seasons! I wish more places would get festive and decorate. There's also a huge area where Santa visits and sets up his little area for families to line up and to have their turn getting their picture taken with him. It was entertaining to watch all the excited little kids trying so hard to be patient as they wait their turn to see Santa. I've been to a lot of malls all over the US, and I can honestly say that this is one of my favorite malls to visit. My kids also agree with me, they too love to shop at The...
Read moreOmg yall- this was our 1st trip to Jax in a few years, so we went where we'd always gone: Regency Mall...well, have you seen the deserted cordyceps-hiding mall in The Last of Us? That's what Regency looked like. Like seriously, FOUR stores, and clothes racks etc set out in the main walways. It was creepy it was so deteriorated. I feel bad for them. But this was OUR day....So we asked an employee what happened and where they'd recommend, and they didn't hesitate: the Avenues. We went str8 there: Now THIS place was more like it!
A multitude of varied stores and shops, every big name that's currently relevant, and even a French Patisserie!! Omg the French gelato...HEAVEN. So good that after we paid for, left, and then devoured the 1st scoop, we immediately went BACK- for TWO MORE! We tasted every flavor (they were generous with letting us sample,) but the almond macaron flavor was to die for: creamy macaron flavor, with actual crushed macarons mixed in!
My daughter and I left with probably 4 new outfits each and a pair of shoes, and we maybe spent $150, total! She especially loved the two-story Forever 21, where the entire bottom floor is Clearance, and we both dove headfirst into Charlotte Russe! I probably tried on 15 tops/dresses, and bought nine! 👏 👏 👏
The food court was also surprisingly varied, and we had our 1st ever Burrito 🍣 Sushi! It was sooooo good! And fresh, made right in front of us! The Sbarro was also delicious and had plenty of choices.
We had SUCH a great family day here, and my puppies were definitely barking at the end: a sign of a truly fun and successful...
Read moreWhat a horrible experience my 13 year old daughter had today. My friend and I had picked out a couple of dresses for my daughter to try on and When I came back in the store with her the sales lady started speaking very loud to us saying "oh these dresses won't fit her you must get a larger size she can't try these on" Then proceeded to grab a couple of large dresses I could tell by the look on my daughter's face that she was embarrassed but went ahead to try one on and then the sales lady got the alterations lady who was going to help my daughter get changed but my daughter is very self conscious of her body, and especially after the sales lady was rude about her size, then busted into tears and just wanted my help. Then the 2nd dress seemed a little tight but both ladies insisted it was fine but my daughter didn't like how it fit and started crying again. The sales lady said what's wrong now and I was like we just aren't going to get that dress she doesn't feel comfortable in it. Then the sales lady asked me had she started her cycle and I was like what does that have to do with the dress then proceeded to walk over to hand my daughter somethinh like spanx!!!! I was floored and that's what's wrong with this world... My daughter is a innocent, kind and sweet 13 year old and for an adult to treat her like that was horrible it's bad enough she deals with that from her peers but really this was just horrible from a grown woman. I hope your sales lady reads this and remembers to be kind to young girls that are not skinny. I will never go in that...
