I’ve been living here for about 4 months now, and overall, I’m very happy with this apartment. •Apartment Quality: The soundproofing is excellent. It stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. •Staff: The security team and handymen are friendly and helpful. One day, my dog’s leash got caught in the elevator door, and it could’ve been a serious accident. Thankfully, the staff responded quickly and kindly comforted my mom, who was very shaken. I’m truly grateful for their support. •Amenities: •Maintenance requests are handled quickly. •I enjoy the occasional yoga classes at the gym — it’s a great way to stay healthy with other residents. •The pool is clean and relaxing, and there’s a spacious party room perfect for private gatherings with friends and family. •Noise: If you live on a lower floor, you may hear traffic or sirens often. If you’re sensitive to noise, a higher floor would be better. •Elevators: There are 5 elevators, so wait times are short. However, the doors close a bit too quickly. •Parking: Valet parking is available, and the staff are polite and quick. You can request your car through an app, but valet isn’t available late at night — 24-hour service would be even better. •Location: Grove Street Station is just a 2-minute walk, making commuting very convenient. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, including Whole Foods, CVS, and Walgreens. I’ve lived in several luxury apartments in New Jersey, and so far, this one is my favorite. It feels safe, clean, and most importantly, warm and welcoming thanks to the amazing staff.

I’ve lived at The Hendrix for over a year and so far have had an incredible experience. Everyone is super friendly, concierge is very thorough with packages, I haven’t lost/ misplaced a single package. Maintenance requests get resolved within 24 hours, amenities are excellent. Fully equipped gym, beautifully designed common areas with a kitchen/fridge in every section and hot tub access all year round are my personal favorites. Building organizes events for residents like summer pool parties, Christmas, new year celebrations etc. Management office is quick and responsive, Jessica is a friendly face and helped me resolve my issue quickly and efficiently! Overall great community, would give 10 ⭐️ if I could

Here is my comprehensive review after almost 5 months.

Moving in: I moved in May 26 2022. Basically no one else was moving in so it was easy and went quickly.

Apartment: the apartment is beautiful. It is designed very well. Kitchen appliances are GE. The dishwasher is amazing, I’ve never seen one work so well. I am not a fan of electric stove tops, but it is what it is. The fridge is quite small, it’s double door and bottom pull drawer freezer. The freezer is very small. Washer and dryers are in unit Bosch appliances and are not full size but are not small apartment size either; they fit average size loads. I absolutely despise the dryer!! It does not fully dry clothing - it’s some type of “humidity drying.” If you leave clothes in there too long they will smell musty. Not a fan of that.

General design: the kitchen cabinets are a nice light gray laminate - I find them a bit cheap looking up close but they are nice overall. They show fingerprints which I do not like. There is ample space in the cabinets. Most apartments do not have islands and I wish mine did, however there is a fair amount of counter space. I like that the finishes are black - that’s very chic. The living room and bedroom of my unit are good sizes. We can fit a queen bed in the bedroom and still have space and we have a couch that is huge in the living room (111 inches long with a chaise). The closet space is nice in most apartments. My apartment has two average sized closets and my boyfriend and I fit most of our clothing, however we need to utilize dressers as well. The bathroom faucet is short and far back in the basin so I had to buy a faucet extender.

Amenities: gorgeous. Gym is beautiful. The outdoor grill and chill area has electric fire pits, 5 grills, a bunch of seating, and a ping pong table. There is a demonstration kitchen with arcade games that my boyfriend loves to play. The pool area is stunning - main pool is heated and there is a hot tub. It gets sun most of the day and has unobstructed views of Jersey City. There is a space with a bar that you can rent for parties and a space with card tables, couches, and a pool table. The mezzanine is a work-from-home space that I don’t spend time in but it reminds me of a college study area.

Lobby: it’s alright - not impressive compared to other buildings. Small reception desk. Front desk staff are lovely though, especially Stephanie and Carmen. Huge hallway to walk down to get to the elevators which I find weird. Still not decorated, I think it’s supposed to have wallpaper or art at some point. Security procedures require everyone to use their fob to get to any floor - this causes lines. The elevators close very quickly so sometimes you will miss the elevator due to the line. Everyone only has access to their floor and the amenity floor.

Parking: it’s valet and you can call your car to be ready through an app. We were told the cost is $275, but we were not told that oversized vehicles would be $350 so that was not appreciated since my boyfriend drives a pickup truck. We were also not told the stated price was not inclusive of tax, so they need to change their language.

Please see my other review for the rest of my comments since I exceeded the...

A Luxurious Retreat with Unparalleled Amenities and Excellent Staff

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Hendrix owned and managed by an outstanding company, and I cannot speak highly enough about the incredible experience I had. From the moment I stepped foot on the premises until the time I left the property, every aspect of my visit was nothing short of remarkable.

One of the standout features of this property is its resort-style amenities. From the moment I entered the stunning lobby, I was greeted with an atmosphere of luxury and comfort. The property boasted a range of amenities that truly elevated my experience. The expansive swimming pool, surrounded by lush landscaping and comfortable lounge chairs, provided the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. The fitness center was equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, allowing to maintain workout routine while enjoying breathtaking views. Every aspect of this property's amenities was designed to provide a truly indulgent and memorable visit.

In addition to the impressive amenities, the property's staff deserves special recognition. The entire team was genuinely committed to ensuring the utmost satisfaction of every guest. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to cater to my needs. From the concierge who provided invaluable recommendations for local attractions to the housekeeping staff who maintained a spotless and well-organized environment, the level of service was simply exceptional. I was particularly impressed with the janitorial services provided by the staff. The property was impeccably clean and well-maintained, creating an atmosphere of elegance and comfort throughout my visit.

The seamless coordination between the management and staff was evident in every interaction. The company's dedication to providing a world-class experience was palpable, and it truly showed in the exceptional service and attention to detail. The property's owners and management have succeeded in creating an environment that exudes a sense of luxury, sophistication, and genuine care for their guests.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this property owned and managed by a reputable company (Liberty Harbor). The resort-style amenities, coupled with the remarkable staff and their top-notch janitorial services, make for an unforgettable visit. Whether you are seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, or simply a luxurious retreat, this property will exceed your expectations. The combination of impeccable amenities, unparalleled service, and a welcoming atmosphere sets this property apart from others. I am already looking forward to my next visit and eagerly encourage others to experience the excellence of this...

I am about to move out and hopefully this will be my last update.

The building now deserves a 5-star review. After a year, it is finally running efficiently and there has been zero issue over the past few months. So far every staff has been extremely helpful. I hope my move out process will be smooth as well. The only reason why I am moving is because I need bigger space and I don’t see any available 1b here that fits my needs. Things may change and I may move back eventually if the building keeps running like this. But one thing I would to point out is that the quality of materials the Hendrix used is not so great. It won’t affect your living experience that much tho.

More update,

Just as I thought things were getting better, the elevator was down this weekend. We had to call the concierge to go downstairs but no one picked up the call. So I walked down 30+ floors.

Management reached out and finally fixed my dishwasher after a month. Waiting to hear back from them on the next step.

Quick update: Dishwasher still does not work. Also, many residents and I have been having hot water issues. This seems pretty common for higher floor units. I have not had any hot water for two days and this is not the first time. The maintenance guy tried to fix it last time but it happened again only a few days later.

I am a current resident here. My experience so far has been nothing but disappointing. Let me talk abt the pros first: friendly concierge and good location. Everything else is just big disappointment and frustration. When I first moved in, the paint of my bathroom door and laundry door was not dried. Even the slightest touch would leave a mark on it. Then the bathroom faucet, which is so poorly designed and installed, is extremely close the edge of sink and super inconvenient. I Never felt good after a shower after I moved here because of the ridiculously low water pressure. Now I finally cooked and used the dishwasher today. After letting the dishwasher run for three times in a row, 1) detergent not dissolved 2) all the plates and pans still greasy and dirty. In terms of amenities, I only used the gym so far and have to say it’s not impressive at all. I honestly never hated an apartment so much and just can’t wait to move out next year. I really hate this...
