I seriously cannot say enough good things about Kerry and Michael at Love Locked. I have known and been working with Kerry for over 2.5 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed working with, and becoming friends with, her and the team. My first experience with Love Locked was stopping in the shop with my girlfriend at the time (now wife) to browse the endless array of jewelry. We lived in the neighborhood and loved the experience of dropping in to browse from time to time.

When I started looking for an engagement ring in 2021, it was very overwhelming with the sheer number of options, jewelers, ring settings, etc. I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for, but the thought of working with a mainstream jeweler was daunting and frankly intimidating. At the same time, I was also reluctant at first to work with a small, local shop because I thought the options would be minimal and I wouldn’t be able to find what I wanted. But I couldn’t have been more wrong.

I ultimately decided to reach out to Kerry to talk to her about the ring shopping experience because of how welcoming Love Locked was whenever you visited the store and because it felt more special working with a local shop that my girlfriend really liked. From the start Kerry was extremely responsive with setting up our first appointment and flexible around my work schedule. She was so easy to work with, was always supportive, and was always patient. She sourced diamonds for me 3 times to help find the right one, and was even willing to open up the shop for me early one weekend to make my final decision. She helped me build a ring from scratch to make exactly what my girlfriend was looking for. She was always kind, respectful, and understanding, even when I was running late because of traffic coming home from work or sitting in her shop sweating after a run to keep up my alibi. Always smiling, always professional, and always so easy to work with.

After my proposal, Kerry and Michael went as far to pretend not to know me the next time we went to the shop until they could confirm the proposal was done. It’s amazing how much they truly care about their customers, always remembering names and faces and making you feel at home as soon as you walk in. Love Locked should be the only option for any North Jersey local embarking on the engagement ring shopping experience.

Beyond engagement rings, Kerry and Michael have helped us find the perfect jewelry for all occasions. Kerry always has the best pieces in her shop, but will just as easily find or make whatever you can dream up. She has helped us with custom earrings to match my wife’s wedding dress, custom bracelets, and the most beautiful tennis bracelet. We did all our wedding jewelry with Love Locked as well, including custom pieces, engravings, and re-size or two. This is our one-stop shop whenever we are looking for jewelry for ourselves, friends, or family.

Kerry and Michael love to create a sense of community in the shop and love to give back to the local JC community. We can always count on a great conversation whenever we stop by. My years-long experience with Love Locked (and, of course, Kerry) began in 2018 when my now-husband and I stumbled across her magical shop while meandering around JC. We had been discussing where we might get our wedding bands, and I thought, "Why not stop at this cute store?" As soon as we opened the door, Kerry greeted us. We explained why we were there and her first questions weren't business related. She asked about our story, our time in JC, our baby (who was with us), and filled us in on various ring options, ranging from style/comfort/setting to cost and what would be more/less cost-effective depending on our budget. No pressure. Simply a pleasant and genuine interaction. (We both had our bands custom made by Kerry). Fast forward to today. My two girls love visiting Kerry's. It's a treat for them to look at the crystals and chat with Kerry about their recent adventures. Over the years, Kerry has been a presence in our lives in numerous ways - creating custom jewelry for me and my mom, helping me select unique gifts for coworkers, guiding my husband toward pieces that she remembers my having shown an interest in, and, most specially, becoming a friend and a valued member of my and my family's community. There truly isn't a bad word or criticism that I could bring up related to Kerry, her business, or how she conducts her business. She is kind, keen, smart, present, and listens to her customers - many of whom, from what I have observed, have become friends. She is a gem. And that radiates from her happiness about what she does, as well as how she shines that vibrant spirit onto each person with whom she interacts - whether it's for a one-time interaction with folks from out of town or a customer who has clearly become a lifelong supporter and friend. I can't wait for Love Locked to reopen to see its next iteration and to continue to watch Kerry do what she does best - connect with folks, bring joy through her beautiful and heartfelt designs, and smile at each person as they walk through the door of her shop. Whatever adventure awaits, Kerry will take the challenges and joy in stride, especially with the community of JC rallying around her and this wonderful business that so many of us consider a home away from home (certainly my kids feel this way! one so much so that when she was 2 years old, she threw a VERY expensive crystal across the shop and broke it, which Kerry took in stride with kindness and a sense of humor), refuge, place of beauty, and most simply a place to catch up with a good friend. Locked locked is a MUST stop at store if you are in JC. Kerry has amazing, quality products. Everything from gorgeous jewelry, unique crystals, gifts for a friend, for yourself, to yummy smelly candles, there's nothing you can't find here. The products are only part of the reason to come here, there rest of if is the staff. The owner Kerry has a heart of gold and is constantly doing work to help the community of JC. No matter what you are looking for, she always has a smile and is ready to make a recommendation. Anytime I'm in the area, I have to stop in to see what amazing things she has in stock. Updated 1/17/24 If you see the above, it will come as no shock that when my boyfriend and I started talking about our future and plans for marriage, there was only one place that I would want my ring from…you guessed it, from Kerry at Love Locked. I already knew Kerry had beautiful pieces and great style, so I was very excited to work with her. Before we got started, I had some normal nerves and worries about the process and in one session with Kerry, they were all gone. I felt like she knew exactly what I wanted, even if I didn’t even know how to verbalize it. She listened, was accommodating, sensitive to our needs, and found beautiful pieces to show us at our appts. I was involved in the initial stages of planning however my (now ☺️) fiancé and Kerry finalized the design together so the final result was still a surprise to me. I truly couldn’t have picked something better if I had picked it myself. I spend an embarrassing amount of time staring at it because I love it so much.

I’m forever grateful for Kerry and my experience at Love Locked, having her involved in this milestone of our lives is something that I will never forget. 🙏💕
