I have never been to a Yard house before and really wanted to go, so I came 5/25. If I would have known I’d have the experience I ended up having, I wouldn’t have wasted my time. I came fresh off of work in my scrubs ready to have a nice evening, and it started off ok.. I sat at the bar for my experience. The first person to see to me was a nice lady who had her hair up in ponytails, and glasses. She was super nice and very attentive. She got me my drink and appetizer, and checked on me throughout. I guess she left, and it switched over to this Hispanic guy. I had to have help from other patrons in getting his attention because I guess he couldn’t hear me. He didn’t seem as inclined to be friendly, and I chalked it up to him having other people to see and things to do. He took my order, and for 30min( give or take), I waited on my meal. I watched other patrons get their food, eat, leave, and more come in. Again, I had to get help from other patrons to flag him down to check on my order( I will admit I have a soft voice). He said he would check on it, came back snd said they’re working on it. So I waited some more. At this point an hour had passed. I finally get my meal, the 20oz steak, and it’s not cooked how I asked( it was medium rare… I asked for medium well). I debated on asking someone to take it back because I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get ahold of someone, but I still wanted to have a good dining experience. So I had to flag someone down again( it took 10-15min). They take one look, offer to redo it. I was hesitant to do so because I didn’t want to wait another hour, But they said it wouldn’t take as long. I tried waiting, I genuinely did. At this point I was ready to go due to being tired. I asked to close my tab out and had to have help flagging someone again for help. The manager did come out and apologize, and I did appreciate it. My tab was covered due to the experience. However, this was not the experience I wanted. Yes, they did eventually bring me the food to go… but I really had wanted a dining experience there. I was truly looking forward to it all week, and was excited to get off on time so I could come here.
