I am from Kansas and i flew into Ketchican for the day to look at some property.while looking around i saw that the Harrley Davidson shop said it was open.when i arrived i noticed that it was shared with another store which its door was locked. But there was a worker walking around there store clearly noticed i was standing at the locked door.i noticed there was another way to get the Harley store.i found that entrance and found the lights were out and hours posted that it would be open.but what i found out the cruise ship industry ended a day before i arrived.but there are visotor that come year round.it wouldnt hurt to open a couple days a week. The store is not what you would expect coming from a large city, but they had a good selection of merchandise, and it was very easy to walk to from the ship. Word of advice: get The Motherload (5 shirts, 1 for every town the cruise ship stops at). I didn't, and I so regret it. Juneau was on a permanent lunch (never opened), we got to Tracy Arm at 5am and left before the store opened, we had no time in Skagway after we got stuck on the train for a few extra hours, and we got to Canada after 7pm (closed). Before getting to the third shirt on the rack, she yelled at me for looking at it since I wouldn’t buy anything on the rack, telling me it’s hard for the shirts to stay on the hangers and she would need to fix it.
