I don't understand why people are lying about this restaurant being good. Do people get paid to write good reviews? Some restaurants might not be great but they are ok if you're hungry but this place, Inca restaurant, is just awful, the food is terrible and the presentation is even worse. I had Huancaina potatoes and the egg was almost raw, I couldn't eat it and the sauce did not have any peruvian yellow pepper, besides that, the whole presentation of the dish was terrible. I also had ceviche mixture and it was served with chopped lettuce, like a salad, if you're peruvian you'll understand...Also the scallops in the ceviche were not cooked enough with the lime, it felt gross in my mouth I almost threw up and the fish they use was probably the end parts because it was hard to chew and cut in flat pieces instead of cubes. There was no corn or potato served with the ceviche, only a thin slice of sweet potato. I ,as respectfully as I could, mentioned all this to the waiter because he asked me how everything was and he said that most people like the egg almost raw and that the scallops are impossible to cook that's why he never eats ceviche mixture and the lettuce is chopped and mixed in with the fish because it helps people struggling trying to cut it. I paid, I tipped but I will NEVER go back. Our food is the best in the world but this restaurant makes it look like the worst in the world. Sad... *I didn't take pictures because I wasn't planning on writing a review but after reading the reviews here, I honestly don't think is fair to deceive people like that and make them believe this restaurant is...
Read moreThis is the BEST Peruvian food I have ever had in my entire life. I am half Peruvian and while I was exploring the Florida Keys with my mom and cousin who are fully Peruvian. We spontaneously found this amazing Peruvian restaurant which was totally destined for us. My cousin was visiting from Lima, Peru and once we saw the restaurant as we drove by, we immediately hit a U-turn and parked our car. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with such great energy, the atmosphere was very warming and pleasant. Beautiful paintings and crafts from Peru all over just made us even happier. We were excited and anxious for our food and when it arrived we all just were stunned by how delicious and fresh everything was, it was too good to be true. Especially when you've tried many other Peruvian restaurants and they do not seem to capture the true authentic Peruvian taste. We learned that Incas Restaurant imports majority of their foods straight from Peru even the lime! At this point we were so amazed by how tasty our food was but we couldn't stop there. Our dessert had us speechless. We enjoyed the ultimate scrumptious lucuma ice cream. It was homemade lucuma ice cream which had us saying (we are in heaven right now) someone pinch us because this is a dream. Just incredible, If you are ever in the Key west area and are looking for high quality, fresh, and mouth watering food then Incas Restaurant is the place you need to visit. Overall a phenomenal experience! Thank you so much for serving us and making our dreams come true with your unique delicious Peruvian food!...
Read moreThe service was good, though we were the only ones in the restaurant at 1:30pm, which we should have taken as a harbinger of things to come.
Unfortunately, the food was unacceptably bad. My wife is Peruvian, and we lived in Peru together for 8 years, so we both are quite familar with how Peruvian dishes should taste.
For the honor of Peru, we must ask that you not judge Peruvian cuisine by the food prepared at this restaurant.
The Tallarin Saltado de Carne was lacking the rich flavor it should have, and it had a strange aftertaste almost as if lime had been added. The meat was overcooked and flavorless.
The Pescado a lo Macho was an abomination of overcooked seafood covered with a mostly flavorless yellow goop that lacked any spiciness whatsoever. This dish tasted nothing at all like it should. The fried banana was simply dry and disgusting.
We were told that the owners of the restaurant are Peruvian, which is honestly very difficult to believe. If the person preparing the food has any actual experience with Peruvian food, which I very much doubt, then there is almost criminal negligence involved in the food preparation.
Not only does the food not taste anything like it should, but it is simply awful.
The Chicha Morada drink at least tasted as it should, for all that matters.
Overall the pleasant service from the waitress was the only positive part of our...
