PESCADO — Restaurant in Key West

We were in Key West during the beautiful week of Dec. 13-18, 2020. Denny, a local who runs The Coconut Key West poolside bar at The Palms Hotel, told us about Pescado. The food truck was not only conveniently within walking distance of our hotel, it came highly recommended by several locals as well... and... It did not disappoint! We devoured our meals. We each ordered a whole, fried fish. (A special not on the menu... just ask for or request it.) It came with rice and beans, crisp greens, and tomatoes. The fish was the star of the show. It was perfectly done. The seasoning on the fish was light and tasty. It wasn't blanketed in a heavy batter. The food was freshly prepared and quickly cooked. They make their own salsas and sauces. The place was clean and the service was great! The people were friendly and wore smiles. We told several people about our experience. They went the same day and also loved the food. Our dog loved the fish too. She got what we couldn't eat of the heads and tails. Huge portions. Reasonably priced. Spacious, outdoor seating, takeout, delivery. No concerns here during the year of covid. We will keep telling others and return again!!! Muchas gracias Senora...

If you're reading this, be prepared to read a review from an actual regular person who is a true foodie that enjoys really good food. By now you've already seen that this place is like a food truck, but don't let that fool you. This little hole in the wall is a real gem. After reading a few reviews about Pescado I decided to go and get some takeout for the family. I ordered 3 shrimp baskets with extra shrimp, and 1 fish basket which is actually mahi mahi fish. Delicious and very good food at this food truck located beside the Chevron gas station on the corner of Truman Ave and White St! The fish burrito was amazing and the house salad was excellent! French fries were hot and very good! Many different options to choose from including breakfast items as well! Open everyday except Sunday. Service was great and really fast! Open late into the evening. Plenty of outdoor seating available! Staff was very friendly and helpful!
