I am really disappointed in this company and we will be sure to avoid them when we come to Key West. We booked with them back in November of 2019 to experience our first Fantasy Fest in October of 2020. The whole trip was planned for that event and had been a trip my husband has always wanted to take. Sadly, because of covid, the event got canceled. We booked 2 other hotels in Key West, both that were nonrefundable, but under the circumstances both hotels offered us a refund. Historic Key West said we could cancel 60 days in advance and lose our travel insurance money (over $200 that we were highly pressured to purchase - it did not cover our trip being derailed since our event was canceled) plus a $500 cancelation fee. We did agree to this policy, but had no intentions of canceling the trip. I emailed the company multiple times (reservations, that I was told to contact, never replied to me after multiple emails) and finally got a nice lady, Jennifer, to respond. She's my reason for giving the company 2 stars rather than 1. I was told, after asking for this request, that they'd allow me to move my reservation to next year, considering our unique circumstances. Otherwise, they were only offering to allow a date change through the end of 2020. I was excited to hear this and even agreed to paying the higher 2021 prices..... until I read what those new prices were. They were going to charge me $1100 more for a total of 6 nights because our event was delayed 1 year. $183 per night increase! That was a total of over $4000 for 6 nights for 2 people to sleep in a room near Duval Street. It is probably a great place, but I can stay in an over water bungalow in Bora Bora for that price, and that includes meals! After hearing this news, I still tried to find another solution, including them taking the $500 cancellation fee and allowing us to apply it to a future trip when we are sure we will be able to travel again. The request was not even addressed. I also asked if I was misunderstanding the extreme price increase but that wasn't addressed either. They were kind enough to cancel my reservation and will be crediting me for my deposit paid, minus over $700 of fees that I can't get back. We will be supporting Havana Cabana and Parrot Key Hotel for future Key West visits. I'm sure this company is wonderful as long as you have no problems with your booking. Sadly, we...
Read moreI can't say enough about our stay in this gorgeous home. There were balconies or patios outside each room, so everyone felt like their room was special. I especially liked the double security doors at the front of the courtyard that enclosed the pool area, because it was so nice not to walk out the front door of the home to the street, instead you walk across the courtyard with the home already all locked up and then came to the other locked doors to the street. So nice. Very spacious for the 6 of us with plenty of dining tables inside and out. The rental company really thought of everything for our visit. I tried to think of something that could be improved, but the only thing I missed from home was my projection clock beside my bed, so that when I wake up in the middle of the night, I can just look at the ceiling to see the time. So obviously that is digging deep to try and find a flaw or improvement with this place.
The location was perfect, honestly, a half block from Duval Street. We walked about everywhere we wanted to go in 10 minutes or less, except for the Southernmost Point which we drove to on the way out. Oh and another plus was the A/C system in each room. They have individual units (not the old window units) like in the nice hotels that are up near the ceilings so each couple can control the temp in their room. My husband loves it super cold, which it was in our room, and my daughter and her husband along with their kids had a normal temp in their rooms. The units are very quiet and they also have ceiling fans in each room too. I could go on about the amenities, but I need to catch up on work now that we are back from our incredible vacation. Special thanks to Susan for your help with checking in and out and all your suggestions on places to see and happy hours to visit. We...
Read moreOur long term stay in Key West was absolutely amazing, and much of that is thanks to the wonderful service provided by HKWVR Property Management. From the moment we arrived, they made sure everything was seamless, addressing a small issue we had promptly and professionally.
The condo at Azur Palm was nothing short of spectacular. It was, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The highlight was the huge terrace with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. Falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing just outside the bedroom and waking up to the sunrise each morning was pure bliss.
We spent a lot of time walking the beach in front of the condo, where we found plenty of sea glass—such a lovely touch to our beach walks. The condo's amenities were top-notch, with a well-equipped workout center featuring both cardio machines and free weights. The two heated pools and the outdoor entertainment areas with cabanas made it easy to unwind in a tranquil environment. One of my favorite moments was floating in the pool, gazing up at the palm trees, and listening to the waves.
The condo itself was meticulously appointed with everything we could possibly need, from a fully stocked kitchen to a well-equipped bathroom. It was the perfect balance of comfort and style. Another perk was the location—while it was a short Lyft ride away from Duval Street and all the excitement Key West has to offer, it was also a peaceful retreat to return to after a busy day.
We also had the fun of watching boats, seaplanes, cruise ships, and even fighter jets passing by daily—a unique and exciting experience.
We left Key West feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. Highly recommend staying at Azur Palm with HKWVR Property Management for anyone looking for an...
