This place is a JOKE! Trent the manager saw us leave that night with wanting to purchase a covered tent and his employee couldn't "sell" it to us because it didn't have a tag and was not processed. His name is Kaiden btw. Came back the next day to see if we could have it held because he told us they don't hold anything for more than 24hrs. So we came back that tent was NO WHERE to be found. Manger name Jessica and an employee name Talissa helped look all over for it. Was told the second time we came back that it was destroyed but NONE of the employees did garbage that day! Mind you Trent was the manager that night for closing and could've easily processed it and sold it to us. Only to find out we came in on 9/3 to see if it was processed. He told us that he "watched" the cameras and saw it destroyed! This is wrong doing to costumers! It's a thrift store and for them to give us run around about a pod that we wanted to buy for our kids sport events and denied to selling it to us. Then when we came before anyone was to come in? It was NO WHERE to be found. Distract manager needs to come in and see what the wrongful things they are doing to costumers and figure out what the hell is going on in the back room because Kaiden seem to not know what he's doing nor does the manager TRENT! All they could offer was a "20%" discount.. but you easily get that when you donate. SAD!

Recap- management fixed the issue and insured me this wouldn’t happen again. It was a really nice email and much appreciated. I walked into value Village at 6:43 PM and was turned away by the store manager Anthena. She gave me separate reasons why they close early even though the door displays 7 pm. She told me that they close early get people out of the store by 7pm. Then she told me that she thinks 30 people are in the store shopping but they allow up to 40. Then she told me that it’s so they can clean the store For then next day. I love shopping at value village and it’s not fair for customers to drive from far away just to get turned away because the store decided they want to close early. She also told me that this was corporate‘s decision to close before the advertised time. Why would corporate put on their door that they close at 7 PM but not allow people to come in 15 to 17 minutes before closing time? Hopefully corporate realizes this is an issue and sees the unfairness of turning customers away when they got to their stores before the store closed as advertised on their doors and online.

Value Village is like a thrift store mixed with a little bit of chaos and a whole lot of “wait, what is that?” You never really know what you’re gonna walk out with. The place is usually clean and organized enough to browse without feeling overwhelmed, though it can get picked over fast—especially on sale days. If you're hunting for clothes, housewares, or weird knick-knacks your grandma might've owned, you’re in the right place. Prices have crept up a bit over the years (don’t expect yard sale pricing), but it’s still way cheaper than buying new. Plus, when you score something solid, it feels like a win. Staff is usually chill. Not overly friendly, not rude—just there to keep it moving. They’ll help if you ask, and that’s good enough for me. Bottom line: If you’ve got time to dig and don’t mind a little randomness, Value Village is a solid stop. Good for budget shopping, one-of-a-kind finds, or just wasting time in a place that smells like old books and laundry detergent.

I'd give this store/company 0 stars if I could.

(1) THEY INTENTIONALLY SELL BROKEN ELECTRONICS. Do not buy anything that you can't THOROUGHLY INSPECT first. I asked 2 employees if the electronics I wanted to buy were tested before being put on the shelves. I was told they were. Still, I asked what I could do if I bought them & they didn't work. I was told not to worry, I could bring them back "to exchange" them. Sadly, this is misleading as they have a very old school way of doing this. (See the next point.) When I did bring the items back, I was told they'd be "redonated" despite me clearly telling them the items didn't work. I asked for a marker so I could write on the items that they're broken. The staff REFUSED to clearly mark the items as broken. Fortunately my pen worked on these items, so I wrote "BROKEN" in large lettering.

(2) THEY DO NOT STAND BY WHAT THEY SELL. They do not offer store credits or refunds. All they offer is bring the merchandise back and exchange it for something of equal value or less at the same moment that you bring back the merchandise. No such thing as store credit if there's nothing in the store useful to you.

For a store with profits in the billions supporting wealthy CEOs, no wonder they don't care about standing by their products.

I will never shop at any Value Village / Savers store again. And I will spread the word about them intentionally selling broken items. I will continue correcting people who believe their intentionally deceptive marketing. They mislead folks into thinking that they're a nonprofit, but they donate only a tiny portion of profits to nonprofits.

If you want to put your money where your mouth is and support nonprofit thrift stores, please educate yourself on the business practices of billion-dollar companies like Value Village before donating your items (and money) to their...

I love thrift shopping. I've been shopping at Value Village for years. They have a large selection of women's clothing, which is great. Their selection of men's, babies', etc. clothing is quite a bit smaller. Their prices vary. Sometimes I find some great deals. Other times they're trying to charge $16.99 for a pair of used, non-designer jeans.

I don't enjoy shopping here much anymore. I really hate that they got rid of the fitting rooms! I understood them closing the fitting rooms during the height of COVID, but it's silly they haven't put them back in. I wouldn't care quite as much about having to buy clothing without being able to try it on if they had a better return policy... But the fact that they DON'T EVEN GIVE STORE CREDIT for returns is ridiculous. So every time I buy an article of clothing I'm taking a gamble. If it doesn't fit, I have to find time within the next 14 days to go back to the store and shop again during their limited store hours (they close at 7 p.m.) to make exchanges, again with clothing that I can't try on to make sure it will fit. It's not as easy as exchanging an item at a regular store where you can get the same item in a different size. What if I don't find anything I like on the day I go to make an exchange? Then I'm screwed. What if my exchanges don't fit? I then have to go back AGAIN and waste even more of my time. It's a terrible policy for a store without firing rooms. Please either reopen the fitting rooms or allow returns for store credit, or better...

At opening today on October 23 2020, I walked in the door and am greeted friendly by the lady holding the door open and counting people. My son and I walk inside and the older lady cleaning the carts this morning rudely and aggressively asked me how old my son is. And I asked excuse me? She responded with is he two or three? I replied three. Which she then tells me he must wear a mask or we can’t shop here. I told her he won’t wear one and she told me then we have to shop someplace else. I then told her that it’s mandated everywhere else that over the age of five is required to wear a mask, and even so if he’s got a medical condition, which you’re not allowed to ask if he does or doesn’t, he wouldn’t be wearing a mask either. So I turned around to walk out and as I’m walking out she starts yelling at me that its management rules. This is poor behavior and customer service. If this is your stores regulation fine but post it somewhere and handle it better, I have a friend who went in with her kids and had the same exact experience with the same older women. I was looking for a comfortable shopping experience and all I got was a very rude and demanding associate upon entering the store. I was so embarrassed and angry walking out of Value Village. I’m very very disappointed as I’ve shopped here for years but definitely won’t be anymore. If I were you I’d opt to shop...
