Lake Geneva Public Library — Attraction in Lake Geneva

It’s lost some reading and quite spaces due to glass partitions erected during a recent remodel as well as some classic mid-century custom furnishings now gone, but designed to originally match the Prairie Style of the architect’s mentor, Frank Lloyd Wright… so out with the old, in with the new I guess. Also, odd that a single garish red throne chair too over the atrium on the building’s west side, where there used to be additional tables and seating… Now one big, ugly chair in memorial of the misogynistic, narcissistic, bigoted and boorish creator of dungeons and dragons (not co-creator Dave Arneson), but E. Gary Gygax … Like giving Neil Gaiman an award...

We love our local library! Our whole family! My kids are always so excited to go to the library whether it is to check out piles of new books, attend a program, or to visit their favorite librarians! We love that the kids could get their own library cards. They have self checkout stations and baskets you can check out to take home those piles of books if you're like our family and check out many at a time. We love that there are no fines for children's books and that the library does a good job of sending reminders of when they're due. We love the staff at the library who is also helpful and kind.
